are they limiting production of the GT2 RS ?
Who knows for GT3. Porsche said they were done after the 2015 production run and recently they opened up a few allocations for 2016 but they are all accounted for or dealerships are holding them with massive premiums. If you are referring to GT3 RS, again no idea. They did an initial allocation run months ago and haven't opened up another since then. Most won't get their RS till end of summer or later with the up to 10 week delay on the lightweight buckets. Either way, if someone wants a GT3 or RS for the summer there's no options out there except buying used.
I should've kept that darn Scud myself! Had a McLaren for about 5 months, 458 for 16 months, and my current GT3 for about 2 months since then. lol My first P car, and I really do like it. Trying to get an RS now. I'll just be patient and hopefully things will go my way. How did you spec your RS b.t.w?
A few dealers received allocations today apparently. I guarantee there will be more. Regarding the RS. I'm trying to get PTS but other then that it's pretty much a stripper with a front axle lift and black LEDs instead of the gray. I also got the nav for resale.
What's the difference between the RS and GT3? Besides the large rear spoiler, which I read is optional. I've always wanted a gt3, but w/ the RS coming, not sure if I should wait.
Here's a good interview about the RS that highlights the differences. Basically it's more of a track car. More downforce, more power, less weight, etc. You could wait for an RS but if you aren't on a list, you will most likely be waiting for a year or 2 unless you are open to paying very high premiums (30k-50k is the going rate it for an allocation it seems). Quite a lot. The rear spoiler isa not optional. If you're serious about getting a GT3/RS you may want to do some research on your own. There's plenty of info available. Good luck!
Thanks I'll start researching now. I love my 458, but would be fun to have the gt3 as well. The RS is too exclusive for me, I'm never on any lists.
Awesome car in the right color with the right options. Shouldn't be too hard to move. And congratulations on your RS!
I'm not sure what I'm going to get in the interim. I was thinking a 458 or another Scud. Both amazing cars!
I never said anything against his character. Please stop assuming and let's keep a for sale topic on topic.
There was a white 991 GT3 with MD plates at our autocross in Richmond on Sunday. The driver was listed as Robert Overhoser. Your buyer?
