so you strapped one of those pizza delivery signs to the roof & did special deliveries for the day for Dino's? How were the tips?
Gave it the Lazy Man's Car Wash. Noticed at Cars and Coffee that it was looking pretty dusty, lots of oak pollen etc. It was just too dang hot to wash it, though. 95 degrees, feels like 105, muggy as walking into a sponge. Along came a heavy, steady, soaking downpour. Pulled out into the driveway, sat for 5 - 10 minutes or so, pulled back into the garage. Job done. The nice thing about these tropical rainstorms in the summer is that a) they cool things down nicely, and b) the water is so clean it dries without spotting.
Drove the s*** out of it . Drove out to the in-laws Friday, wife was already there. 4hrs away, car ran great. Went out for anniversary diner Saturday night and ran into a serious thunderstorm, glad the wipers work. Drove back home today with one passenger, with the wife following in her car. Tucked it into my parents garage. Had to make room for my latest bad idea. Pulled it out of a barn after it sat since 92. Image Unavailable, Please Login
It seems the battery in a 34R (reversed posts) is now getting hard to find.... BUT, they had a red top Optima (which we all know, are terrible)....but, ^&%*, I went ahead and dumped one in there!! Filled it up with gas, fresh ....still runs like cr@p. Off to the shop, hi ho hi ho......looking at the dent that Vintage Motorcars beat in the trailing edge of the driver's door, I get upset. Then I recall the wreckage of the F40, a few weeks later, I get a little reflective about it all....
Shot WD40 into the E-Brake cable tube trying to get the cable loose. I know the E-Brakes don't work that well, but I like things to at least look like they work.
