    It seems that nothing is straightforward with Ferrari! :) There were 25 examples built of the 512S for homologation, so if this is #27, what would that make the chassis number? And what is #26?

    Many manufactures build more than the needed amount for a certain homologation process, e.g Ferrari with the 288GTO, 200 needed for group B, over 280 produced. (and some build under.. like Ferrari with the 250 GTO...)

    Exactly. Ferrari also used this chassis for 612 Can Am 0864. We're finding a lot of stampings and will preserve all of them.

    All is moving along well.

    Her original block, heads, gearbox casing. Suspension, brakes, radiators, gauges, etc., etc. are all sound.

    We've located all missing parts we need to get her going and keep moving ahead step by step.
