Wow. That is definitely on my list of things to do. For now I will enjoy your threads. I look forward to reading the 550 thread. How do the two cars compare? I know the F12 is more modern but what I'm wondering is in my 550 I feel the old school charm and in my 599 I feel the high tech madness. Wondering how the F12 stacks up. Anyone I know who has driven the F12 (I haven't yet out of fear I'll want to leave my beloved 599!) says the F12 "murders" the 599. (And this is as it should be)

Did you guys notice that the gray car inside the factory looks like a FF with a F12 front ? Am I seeing things ?

    Cheers

That's what you get when a F12 slept with a FF.

4 hex bolts to remove the seat, unclip the connectors underneath, unclip the front seat from the retaining lip, use angled pliers to release the retaining pegs along each side of the leather seat and lift the seat squab up.
You will reveal the underside of the seat squab and find the culprit which is a square of hard plastic set in the soft foam. Remove this and replace with cushion foam and replace in reverse to removing.
Tip, protect the inner cills with folded towels so as not to damage when lifting out the seat.
Simple solution to a bloody annoying problem.

599's are so awesome and if I didn't feel like spending the extra cash then 100% I would have got a 599 for this journey.

I had one for 2 years and loved it, however it wasn't too practical in Melbourne as it is more suited to high speed runs.

    You know what....

When I looked at the car at first I said "Same F12 as mine" then I looked closer and it had an FF rear.

So weird to see in the flesh.

    The Autobahns were fairly hectic.

Next trip in Sept I will hit the Big 3.

Congrats on the new F12 man! :)

Absolutely stunning machine you have there. One of the best colours for that car IMO.

Really great seeing all these pics and it looks like you and your beautiful Wife are having another amazing time. :)

The stuff dreams are made of! Hope you guys keep having fun and stay safe. :)

Has to be an F12. It it was the new V8 turbo variant it wouldn't be parked out in front of the barriers for all to see.
It has a sloping roof and pronounced rear haunches so not an FF. IMO.

I know what you are talking about. OMG even driving a Smart car there is alarming, the streets are so narrow and windy -- often with cement or brick walls on either side -- and ridiculous grades to boot!

Liked your tunnel vid too but I got nervous just watching it -- especially when that pickup truck stepped over the lane line a bit...

Great car, great trip, enjoy it in good health

So maybe it is an F12 shooting brake.

    Here is a close pic.

I think it's just a normal F12, but the shadow over the rear part makes it look as though there is more there.

It's a right hand drive car, and the reg plate GTP 1 is used on Meridien Modena (UK dealer) demo cars.

There's a photo of what looks to be the same car here
