Hi guys, am fairly new to the Ferrari world , my first purchase was a black on black 2006 612 F1 with 30k miles, am really happy with it and it drives great.

Given a lot of threads on FC discuss the values of our cars, I never see many comments on how the 612's will do In the future compared to 575/550 and 355's etc, what do you guys think ? Cheers

    Hi Alex,

It will probably follow a similar curve to the 456.

Traditionally, 2+2 Ferraris have not fared well, as compared to their 2-place mid-engined or 2 place coupe siblings.

That said, I believe turn-of-the-century technology advances could positively effect the 612's fate. The 612 performance is certainly impressive for its size, thanks to it's front mid-engine design and other technologies. It is also the first all-aluminum V12 Ferrari and the last of the Dino belt engine cars, last generation of cars to offer a MT, and last of the "classic" looking Ferraris.

The OTO versions were all pretty much special ordered as well.

The total production is just north of 3000, which is equivalent to the Boxer and certainly very limited as compared to any generation of V8 cars and the TRs.

    Time will tell.

Turn of the century f1 paddle tech will hold prices back a little, but the few six speed manual cars will almost certainly become very collectable.

It seems that almost every picture of a Ferrari I've seen out of Dubai is a picture taken in a parking garage. Is that a coincidence or do the cars live underground?!

A/C actually works well on the 612; so, it could probably handle it.

However, the dash shrinkage issue would definitely be a concern.

You have to be crazy to keep them outside, this is my work car park, my home car park is underground with a/c so it's fine.

    Great Pic Alex!

    Looks like a perfect example!

I think this is the very best angle as it hides the bonnet which I think is too long on the 612.

The 612 quality is so much higher than the 456 that I think they will hold better...
