Wow, I am glad that you say this. As I rang the museum when I was in Starnberg to ask if they had the 991 GT3 RS on display and they said that it was there. So lucky that I didn't go.
Trust me, i tried telling him to get one. He is stubborn until the cars have 2x/3x in price.. What is market now for a 4.0? $500k?
All the colors are great, but from what I am seeing, every other car will be the 'launch livery' = Lava Orange. If you don't mind that, then the launch livery is always a good thing. But White seems to suit this car well.
Yes, there is a white one at that price I posted earlier. Black cars bring significantly more as they are twice as rare, and PTS are nuts at this point.
USA spec Ultraviolet 991 GT3 RS. The latest issue of Octane magazine underscores what I have been saying about the new RS all along - the bias has now shifted decidedly in favor of a track-application car, because the aero potential will never be usable on the road. Image Unavailable, Please Login

I have to say that the Dunlops are sensational! I have them on my RS and I recently drove the same car as mine back to back on MPSC and I was even more impressed with the Dunlops.
Interesting because the vast majority of all 997 and 991 RS testing & development was done with Michelin and the cars are set up with that brand in mind.
That was until Dunlop had a red hot crack at making a tyre for the 997 GT3 RS; Timo Gluck in Fast as Hell. in a 4.0 997. One of my favourite vids. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uqa8MFSXZHM
Joe, I am one of the boring ones getting a Lava Orange RS, but the good news for me it is a Mid to Late July production, so it should be here soon. Hope to see you soon, and I hope you and Margaret had a fantastic trip.
Congratulations, and as I said a few posts ago, the "launch livery is always a good thing". Our trip was fanbtatic, and here is the new RS running up the hill again. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I don't know bout u guys, but the 991 RS just doesn't look right. I think it looks out of proportion in height and believe the rear bumper black strip that hides the tail pipe is bad design. The car for the most part makes the earlier RS cars look better to me. I'd take one for free tho...
