Okay, so I am in the process of restoring the interior of my '86 3.2, a complete re-dye of the interior. My car has a black canvas boot cover and I have never liked the look of it with the tan interior, so I am going to go with a tan leather boot cover, I think the cars are a knock out with a tan boot cover, tan interior and that Rosso Corsa Red body (oh, gives me goose bumps).
My question is, JKautoupholstrey and RichandFamous both have them on ebay for the same price, $450.00 and free shipping. Which one should I go with? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    I believe I bought mine from R&F 3 years ago at $400.
Nice padded tight cover, like a face lift compared to the sagging oem leather boot.
You have to punch holes for the tenax buttons, just mark the spots and use a belt hole puncher for best results.

My car came with the black cloth cover and you are right, the tan looks so much nicer!

    Cheers

I would think tan interior, tan boot. Black interior, black boot. Just my 3 cents.

    Mike,

I understand that you had to transfer the tenax fasteners, but were the 4 "regular" snaps pre installed?

No, the boot cover comes with 8 tenax buttons (8 male/8 female screws that connects together after you punch a hole in the correct places), didn't have to transfer anything. But these are chrome buttons with no horsey on them. The oem has the cavallinos. Hope that helps.

Interesting Don. So are you saying the aftermarket come with the 8 tenax, but do not have the two male snaps on each side that snap down onto the female snaps on the top itself?

Hmmm. Just installed a new top from Rich and Famous and was considering a new boot. Wonder if the new boots flap a lot without those snaps? Guess I could have them added by my upholstery guy.
    My new top:

Correct! Lol. I have had a few classic Caddies- just easier to keep the same name on all the forums.

+1 for Rich and Famous. New cover recently ordered is an exact match on my crema interior.

And with you re losing the black canvas. Matching leather boot transforms the look.

To update this topic. Any suggestions for Boot Cover. My leather one is starting to fall apart. Considering getting it reconditioned vs replace. tan leather
