for some reason I am unable to post in sales/classified section...

If any of you out there have a high mileage 458 that you want to get rid of I have $100k for you, I'm in Los Angeles California and I'm willing to pick up anywhere in America.

Do they even go down that low? I've seen a 458 with 60k miles sell for $180k

I seen a yellow one from a dream cars touring service a few months ago with 89k miles and retailed for $130k

I also found a company will give me a 2 year bumper to bumper full coverage warranty for 10k so I'm not worried about the service history, anything that will break and I can sort it out.

I've driven various 458s since 2011 and I just have to have one this year.

I don't think they are down to the $100k level just yet. An F-chatter here bought one with 120k miles on it and I think the seller was asking for $130k (not sure what he actually paid for the car). I know of one with 56k miles that sold for around $150k. But good luck with your search and let us know what you find...

To BigJohn...can you provide (either here or through PM) the name of the company and details re: warranty coverage for a used Ferrari.

@BigJohn458: Doesn't sound like a company I would trust to pay the $23,000 invoice from the local Ferrari/Maserati dealership.

It's a full coverage warranty 24 months and 24,000 miles (no exclusions) and will be accepted at any official ferrari dealer world wide

You probably wouldn't buy a high milage out of warranty Ferrari either, but that pricing I posted is what they sell it to the dealers for and the broker offered it to me at dealer price.

Can you please state whom the warranty company is with contact info. as I'm sure many would be interested in same. 458 is a great sports car and wonderful DD. If you can find one for $100K AND get that warranty (assuming arguendo that its Kosher) its a true no-brainer.

One can hope that a my 100k would be higher than what a dealer could offer a private seller of clean title high milage car, I mean I've seen a few in the 120k-140k retail this year so a 100k is not a stretch.

because I feel like if I pay more than 160k for a used 458 I might as well finance Hurricane for a 100k more

Been looking at the 458 market for past month or two. 100k is a massive stretch. Still at 150k+ with high miles, at least.

I am curious why you are willing to buy a clean title car with 100k + miles? The little stuff which will not be covered by your warranty could eat up tens of thousands in a hurry. It just seems like false economy to me. If you are that gifted to be able to work on a 458 why not use that ability to make up the difference in your budget?

^^^ pretty sure its show. High mileage doesnt show on a couple cars when you roll somewhere up and you only pay roughly half from regular price

Because he believes he can pay $10k for a 2yr warranty that covers everything that could go wrong. I'm pretty sure such a thing does not exist.

    Good morning everyone,

I own the 120k milage 458 that was posted here and on Jalopnik. So far I've put about 1000 miles on the car and no big issues. There was a $2k service after purchasing the car to fix a couple small things but now no issues at all. I would not hesitate to do it again. As far as a 2 year warranty for 10k, sounds like a bargain with the current hourly rate at the local dealerships but I would ask for a 30 day or maybe a 1k mile warranty that nothing would catastrophically fail. If repair bill for car within that time frame goes above a certain amount you could put in a contract seller would have to split repair bill or purchase car back. My car was serviced by Ferrari of Las Vegas during its life as a track car for one of those Las Vegas experiences. It does have some small pitting on the front windshield, various rock chips and a small fiberglass break above the rear diffuser near the rear license plate. The more and more I look at the car I find small imperfections. The funny thing is that people that see it do not see those things. Its like seeing a mole on a supermodel. Gives the car character. Transmission still bangs through the gears with authority and a/C blows hard. I would purchase this exact car again in a heartbeat. I got mine for $126K. I have not seen another 458 for as low as I purchased mine for but I have seen as low as $150K. Good luck!
