Well, Simon, let me say this. First, make sure you study hard and get the best grades possible. Not the second best, THE best.
This means - play less games, study more.
Also you need to work on your "social skills". Make friend. Socialise.
By having good grades gives you the opportunity to get into a good Uni, in Norway or outside.
You might be interested in Computers now, but frankly speaking you do not know where your interest will be in 5 or 10 years. Maybe you want to do nothing and just chill and live off the State.
Or you might choose to buy a fishing boat and make a living that way.
Or become a Medical Doctor? But not if your only goal is because the income is high!
    Who knows?
    Not you!
Do not choose a profession according to the potential income. Choose one that makes you smile and feel happy. It is better to live in a one bedroomed flat with your wife and 4 children and be happy, than in a nice house in Holmenkollen, (with a Ferrari in the garage) doing a job you hate more than anything.

One nice thing in life is to progress, to make more money as the years go, to start small and then grow. To start with a crapoy old VW, work yourself up, get a Mercedes, maybe a Porsche, maybe a Ferrari!
I finished my studies age 27. Made no money at first, so bought an old Nissan Sunny. Worked hard, advanced a bit. Bought my first "unnecessary" car, an Alfa Romeo Spider, brand new, when I was 30.
First "real" sportscar, a Porsche, age 40. And now, age 54, my first Ferrari. Not new, but 11 years old.
Inbetween the Spider and the Ferrari I had several exotics. Most new. Some used. Every car I saved for, and when I bought it it felt like X-mas!
Technically I am what you would call a Millionaire. Not in cash, but in assets.
(I am probably the poorest Ferrari owner on this forum!)

For me to get a decent income meant to leave my country, Sweden. As you might know, we pay more in tax than in Norway.

Do not make it your goal to make lots of money. Make it your goal to be happy. Very happy.

Where in Norway do you live, Simon?

Bergen. I understand why you stay indoor so much, with all that rain!

A lot of good advice here, but do not forget that happiness in what you do is very important.
If you are a rich and unhappy stockbroker with a brace of Ferraris in your garage is not a fun life.
Try to stick to your goal with the programming. Money will find you one day!
