I've seen scuds with mileage in the mid to high 20Ks selling between 145k-160k. However, most of those cars are black or not the color of choice.
And you know that just when you buy the Scud and the check clears.. 4 weeks later a perfect 430 stick will come up. And then you'll think "I should have bought the stick". I'm soooo glad I didn't compromise with my 360. Driving stick rules! And in FChat tradition, because you wrote that you want a 3 pedal 430 and this is a Ferrari site AND didn't mention any other brand in the OP: "You should get a Porsche GT2!"
I bought an F430 Spider with a stick in Oct. of 2011, precisely because of the manual transmission/clutch pedal. In May of last year, I traded a Dino 246GT for a 458 Spider and, although the 458 is very entertaining to drive, I find myself drawn more to the F430 for the stick experience. There won't be any more made, so find one and enjoy it forever! Fred
I bought a manual 360 after looking for a manual 430. I drove both before deciding and based on the driving opportunities I have there wasn't any difference for me. 360 manual is a FAST car if that's what you're after but more than that it actually sounds better than the 430. Interior arguably isn't as modern or as well executed but the exteriors are incredibly similar. Chassis and structure are essentially identical. For under $100,000 you can get the very best 360 Manual...something to consider.
If this car has a full history and clean ownership trail, it would be a real bargain. I wish I saw this a couple of months ago.
Given what's going on up north there will be many more exotics hitting the market soon from that area... Given what's going on in China I would expect some sales from China-based purchasers too. Given that many wealthy in China parked their money in Canada and have seen the currency they chose devalue by 30% in the span of 18 months... and then the rest of their net worth in Chinese stocks devalue by 30% in the past 2 weeks... I may be looking at 6 speed manuals too... in a few months (well, maybe the 360 CS instead )
I think I'm missing the boat up in Canada because I'm not sure what's going on up here.... In reality, despite the issues with the China stock market, the wealthy have, and continue to purchase luxury goods in Canada. Many of these people are now increasing their focus on assets such as real estate rather than speculative assets (stocks in China)... As for the devaluation of the Canadian dollar, the devalued Canadian dollar affects those who buy goods/ services/ travel etc.... from and in the USA. The wealthy Chinese are still coming and investing in Canada in droves as the lower Canadian dollar translates into a better exchange ratio when converting from Yuan $ to the CAD $. As such, they are still buying up luxury goods at a record pace.... Cheers, FN.
Bingo! Luxury and premium segment is rocking and rolling up here! Development in Toronto is incredible. Retail, residential, commercial, infrastructure, etc... lots of money being made and lots moving in too. Probably a few exotics and luxury cars hitting the market in Alberta because of oil prices but that's a sliver of the economy.
I personally think the scud is more special and if I find a right one then I might jump on it. I have always wanted a Ferrari ever since I was a kid so I don't consider other brands at the moment. I told myself one day when I can truly afford it then I'd buy one. I'm a little confused right now of which way I should go...Spend 150k or 160k to get a higher mileage scud or a manual 430. My wife said i should get the 430 spider with an F1 tranny so she could drive too. I might lean toward that direction as I already own a 5 speed supercharged NSX.
I would vote for manual coupe or Scuderia (F1) - both special in their own way. I have a manual 360 coupe and a 430 Scuderia. Very different cars, both masterpieces in their own way, IMO. As a first F'car I would get the 360/430 manual coupe - more engaging to drive, but that is, of course, somewhat personal... I would not get an F1 coupe or spider, but that's me - not a convertible guy. If your wife doesn't drive manual, then maybe a Scuderia is the right direction, since she can put that in auto mode - I haven't tried it, though some say it results in accelerated clutch wear. Though, the Scuderia can be a bit "violent" So, whether she likes it may depend a bit on what kind of girl she is...
Here's links to two in Atlanta. No affiliation just always keeping an eye on whats out there. 1999 Used Ferrari 360 Modena 6-Speed - 3 Pedal - Manual Transmission at ***************** Serving Atlanta, GA, IID 13594756 2006 Used Ferrari 430 3 Pedal 6-Speed - Convertible Spider at ***************** Serving Atlanta, GA, IID 13615855 Best of luck in your search. I have an F430 3pedal and I love it dearly.
Good luck, try to get one now before they climb even more. The manual F430 is just an incredible car... last of the breed !!! While the 360 is a very good car, the F430 is superior in every way.

Better try and give and call, but as mchas said I don't think they're real, at least not at this price.
The Red spider has been long gone. The black car isn't really my color of choice. Thanks for looking out.
