Thanks Kev
It's somewhere between Fuoco and Maranello. I asked the Tailor Made team for a combination of Fuoco and another color they haven't used on a car yet called Rosso Laser. It's definitely darker than Corsa and similar Rosso Maranello or Fiorano as it looks almost Ruby red in low or dark lighting. Rosso Fuoco is one of my all time favorite colors. Here are some pics of my 16M in Fuoco. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Giallo Triplo Strato. Never regretted the decision! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I too fell in love with my triple pearl yellow. Had never really considered anything but the usual default red then came across this colour.. Now there is no other hue for me!! Stunning!! Image Unavailable, Please Login
As I said, very difficult to picture and give an overall representation of the colour. It changes quite wonderfully re different light and times of day.. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes, I know a guy who knows a guy... I took a bunch of pictures that day, but this one is my favorite. It shows off the hue-changing quality of the triple yellow better than most. One other triple color I really like: Rosso Maranello Image Unavailable, Please Login
I just asked my dealer if we can change the stripe on our Speciale A from Rosso Fiorano to Rosso Coburn since it hasn't gone red 10 yet.
I'm sure he knows, this 458 SA was a present for his dad. One of the best spec out there for sure. Love the white interior, wonder how hard it is to keep it clean.
I have never seen Rosso Maranello in person, but really like it, and it obviously is metallic. Yet, I have read many posts where people have insisted that it is not metallic. It seems logical that it's a triple-layer, because it has far more of a sheen than a standard metallic finish. Fred
And again....very hard to photograph, looks completely different with every light change! Image Unavailable, Please Login
It is a triple layer mica paint (the only red triple layer mica I think). Mica is little balls suspended in the paint, not metallic flakes. More subtle and smooth looking, still with the triple layer depth. The light reflected is much finer - thin 'pinpricks' of light as reflected from a spherical surface.
