    Hey Guys,

I just purchased a period Blaupunkt CR2001, in excellent shape! Wouldn’t you know it, after bench testing it the cassette player doesn’t work…bummer..

Might anyone have any ideas as to where I might be able to have this unit repaired?

    Thank you very much!

    Chris.

You can see if radiomanrepair.com is still working. He did a Blaupunkt for me years back. I may have a working unit (not sure of model) if you can't get it fixed.

If it's just the cassette player that's non-functional it's usually the belt that has snapped due to old age. It's a pretty common and straightforward repair; I have an Alpine 7272 that came with my 85 that had the same issue. I found a guy on ebay who replaced it and cleaned the unit for $75.
