No, my apologies if it was worded wrong.

All i meant was that a convertible version of this, would seem more along the lines of the 599 Aperta vs. the 599 GTO, than the F60. The 599 Aperta is not a GTO either, but it shares the engine with it and a few other bits - like a convertible version of the VS would with the F12VS coupé. In other words, I don't see the F60 as the successor to the 599 SA Aperta. A car like that, I would think should be a convertible derivative of the F12VS. Does that make sense?

Sorry, I'm very tired, so the language barrier kicks in more than usual...

The car is super hot, and it's going to be an animal. Don't like the yellow, but can already tell there will be stunning combos of this thing.

I think I get your point. To my knowledge, all SP F12 variants and now the lightweight F12 VS are based on the same chassis.

I think you may be right as I suspect this car will be very colour sensitive. At least I hope you are as the yellow is not flattering, albeit I have never liked yellow on the GT cars.

Incidentally, now that we have a higher res image you can zoom in, anyone noticed the small rubber extrusions on the rear windows that apparently are aero devices?

Doubt the 275 GTB was Blu Pozzi as that color was offered with the 355. Equally popular on the 355 was the Blu Swaters color.

^ This! Though I give credit to Ferrari of not showing the usual Rossa Corsa on their new debuts. I remember once reading that Pinninfarina was proud of the 550 Maranello because it could be showcased in silver. Further, if it looked good in silver, it would look good in any color.

My reference was mainly to the fact that they're making (or made) 10 F60 Americas exactly the same number as the number of 275 N.A.R.T. Spyders.

I think anyone who sees your former GFM HGTE must fall in love with that color. There are a lot of great pics on autogespot also... and there is probably another GFM beast coming... Maybe with the same crazy alcantara/leather in various shades of grey...oh my... who knows !

Lovely shot in Hi Res, thank you!

I'm a bit behind the times on every detail, but it looks like it has a small, active rear spoiler/air brake that sits flush with the rear glass? Or is that just exterior cosmetics?

I may go for exactly the same combo again ;) as a tribute to my beloved HGTE.

I already pointed this out in an earlier post-it is apparently a small rubber aero device. Seems an odd tiny detail, certainly of no aesthetic benefit unlike the 599FXX winglets.

Presume they'll offer it up in CF for a few thousand quid :) Separately, if you were to go Titanio (Alloy I've been told is the "kiss of death" for resale and Ferro is on my 599 GTO) what colour stripe would you go for? Saw a Titanio FF recently and it looked a mighty beast.

They are flexible and flatten downwards with speed

Regretfully I don't think we will be given the opportunity to further enrich them as it apparently needs to be rubber to flex.

I am currently going no stripe but that may change once I see some completed cars. I certainly don't want the cross bonnet stripe.

I am down to the new GF which is slightly greyer, or a dark blue, ideally a metallic Pozzi or whatever I can find similar and then may look at doing some contrasting accents on both schemes.

Is that not just more supposition? Is this an announcement from Ferrari?

In fact this is currently BS. Supercar Kids knows less about the car than we do here on F chat.

If you bothered to read this thread you will see that we all knew this VS working name quite a few months ago. I have a car allocated as do a few others on this forum, so we know all there is to know about it, and I can assure you, no formal decision has yet been made.

It may or may not ultimately be VS, personally I very much doubt it as it is just an internal working title.

I think 'a guess' currently sounds more realistic but very easy to be over enthusiastic about this car, but welcome anyway.
