It's easy to be an expert on supercars and advising others on what to do with their (large quantities of) money, but until you've been in the exotic game, its all just verbal masturbation, isn't it?

I dont mean to sound offensive, but I'm sure many on here can relate to spending their real money on real cars that they really own and have to consider maintenance and resale and insurance, etc. Its a whooooole different ballgame between "I really like the 550 so I worked my butt off for 3 years to pay for the one sitting in my driveway" and "I really like the 550 and one time a guy let me drive his for a few miles"

 

I'm just kidding here, seriously, but dude, if you're gonna roll with an "F-1" user name, you need to study-up a little!! At LEAST your Ferrari F-1 history!

Eddie always had problems with the road course tracks because he kept stopping the car and tried to snort the white lines painted on the road....

 

I agree to an extent, but I trust NNO's views on the Enzo market and information about the Enzo probably more than every other Enzo owner out there, somebody who dedicates their life to something is more likely to know about the subect at hand than someone who just purchased one as a toy.

 

But he's wrong on the price levels, IMO....

It's getting long in tooth, mileage is going up.....depreciation will take it's toll.
Market response to the styling was not a universal "thumbs up"...in the first place.

Getting a reputation for "flying off the road" and killing the operator is never a strong selling point either! LOL!

I predict $700K and an arrow "down" in two years....sooner, if the replacement photos are leaked by the Factory. The guy who wants "the newest flash ride" will no longer care at that point.

Let the Bank of Scotland know you are interested the have two, one with fresh paint. I wonder what the problem with the engine design is?......I don't think they rebuild them Carby, FoH dropped a new crate motor in..the old one is a coffee table in the showroom

No offense taken and I can certainly appreciate what you're saying. I'm not trying to tell anyone what I think they should do with their money - I certainly don't like it when people tell me what to do with my money - but I'm merely trying to paint a picture of the market for Enzos down the road. Barring some unforeseen circumstance, Enzos will not skyrocket in price. They will, perhaps, go down a bit more, find a comfortable position, maybe move back up a bit - but that's it - and that'll be it for quite a while.

Waiting for a car to reach rock bottom with regard to depreciation is just silly. It's a car, it's going to depreciate no matter what. Enjoy it for what it is. Waiting for a car to reach its apex of apprecation before you sell it is also silly, unless you can see the future.

All I was trying to say with regards to Irvine (and others who are waiting for Enzos to do this or that) is to just stop waiting... Grab what's available and enjoy it. Enzos are still depreciating and there's no way to tell at what price they'll bottom out or how quickly that will happen. That's all...

BigTex, I think you're right, they're replacing engines, not rebuilding them... And most problems concerning Enzos stem from simple sensors - go figure.
