what are the typical costs for rental there? I swear i had a friend tell me he rented a 430 for an hour for about $100

That doesn't seem realistic at all. I rented a 458 spider at one of the places outside the factory in 2013. For 30 min it was over $500. It was well worth it of course!

    I used this company...took the 599 out for 1/2 an hour....$ 415. USD

Here is their rate chart. There are at least eight Ferrari rental outfits in the 2 blocks around the museum, this outfit was down by the test track and slightly less than some of the others. I had a blast, should have booked a full hour.

Reservations - Ferrari Test drive Maranello, Ferrari rental car

I am going to Maranello in September. Tried to book the factory tour in back in April through the dealer but am on a waiting list. Plan B would be a drive. Trip Advisor lists Test Drive Maranello as the top one so I may give them a go.

Looking forward to some good meals with the Mrs.

so I checked this group for a 360 Spider hire from Milan. I have a trip booked in October in which I hope to do some serious driving. Their website offers the 360 Spider for 600 euro for the whole day, which calculates approx to $650. Which I reckon looks highly reasonable. https://europeluxurycarhire.com/ferrari-rental/rent-ferrari-360-spider-cabrio.
I have to admit I am really looking forward to this trip!
