Hooray is bottom fishing which I have nothing against but to call these cars with over 30K miles "solid examples" in the $140's is a little delusional. You get what you pay for, here and everywhere.

I can't stop staring at this one. 5K car for 149k screams value. This is my fav combo on a 599 classy and elegant. Great looking 599.

Big question is where will the bottom be for 599's with less than 20k miles
My humble guess is $125K by the end of 2018.The old 550's dropped below
100K Then bounced back so I'm extrapolating from that scenario - just IMO

    Any thoughts out there :)

Alexkam, take a further look but I think the ebay 2007 599 does not include carbon ceramic brakes. A very desirable $19,000.00 option that was optional on 2007 models and makes the price not that great. Pretty color combination though!

As a recent buyer, I wondered the same thing as F2003 about the bottom and while I am loving mine and have no regrets I would like to believe the bottom is still in the $140-150K range. The thing with comparing the price drop of 599s to the 550 is that when the 550s were brand new and loaded, they sold for $245K and the new 599s loaded sold for $345K. So...that is where I get my number from.

I use to have a 599 GTB F1. Bought it new in 2007. Sold it last year. It's a car that needs to be looked after but my goodness, it's easily one of the greatest GT cars ever made.

A Jeykll and Hyde - one moment a big lazy cruiser, the next a 612 bhp V12 powerhouse with a turn of speed comparable and sense of power comparable to your average Imperial Star Destroyer.

Mine was in Silverstone with Nero/carbon interior. It was stunningly elegant. What an Aston Martin should be. I sold it for 85K GBP, it had done 13K miles. The dealer added 10K GBP. That's an obscene amount of car for the money.

If you're wanting one of the very best GT's in the world, a well looked after 599 GTB is an absolute steal at current levels.

i.e. Marmist If the dealer doesnt give u a warrany on engine/trans/gearbox, dont buy it. It means they themselves first dont trust it.

As I always say when it comes to buying Ferraris, the cherry cars are the ones with complete pedigree , maintenance history, no expense spared well looked after cars... The rest are risks, period. A deal is a deal but you get what you pay for... For an 8 year old 599, 150-160k is the norm I guess, provided the car is straight and maintenance upto date . Mileage can be an issue but I don't give it much value. A car that was well driven is much better than any garage queen. At the end of the day values are dictated by what the market is willing to pay.

    Happy shopping

As I have pointed out a hundred times. A buyer doesn't set the market. It takes a buyer AND a seller. If the sellers won't take what the buyer wants to pay, that isn't the market value. MASR04 has found that to be true already.

High $130's - Low $140's is going to provide a solid example. I am most likely going to be there in the next couple weeks and really try to land a deal.

Skid kid of course is exactly right.

Mileage itself has no baring on whether an example is 'solid' or not.

5 owners :( but looks like a bunch of service visits, presumably routine which should be good. It's a nice car for the money, but if it were me I would absolutely pay $10-15k more for a car with 20k less miles and less owners. Repairs can get pricey. Not that a low mile car wouldn't need work, but you can't buy down miles after the fact, and moving a 40k mile car later will mean taking a haircut

Too many owners for a car that new, imo.

My 612 had seven owners prior to me. The latest owner is the ninth. And he got a beautifully maintained car. Owners schmoners. Who cares. It's all in the PPI.

Its really hard to know. The first 1-2 owners could have simply flipped the car. Maybe owner 3 ran into the financial collapse. Then from 2010 its had 2 owners. Thats more reasonable.

I do agree with the idea of buy the best you can afford but Sean has said before he's sticking to a budget. So I say good luck Sean! Post up some pics etc.

Don't forget that some of these cars are leased as well.

Regardless, I agree with others that it does not matter, as long as the car is properly maintained and PPI is positive.

Guys, I've decided to purchase the car! I can't pass it up after doing the research. The vehicle has a brand-new clutch less than 4000 miles ago with 85% life left. The vehicle has had several owners in a short period of time, however, it has all been serviced in the same place. Newport Beach California at Orange county Ferrari and Maserati. Additional research shows that approximately 23,000 miles and September 2010 close to $25,000 and was spent by one of the owners to upgrade to the HGTE package.

This has been authenticated by the local Ferrari dealership and it's service manager on top of service records from the upgrade. This vehicle is being shipped to me for 132! Since shipping from the West Coast to the East Coast is approximately $2000 it looks like I achieve what I want and also in the process got a great vehicle with some higher mileage but damn what an upgrade with proof to back it up!

Of course she has not arrived yet but a deposit has been taken and the majority of my down payment will be wired later this week along with receiving the small bridge loan from my bank. If for some reason something crazy happens and she does not arrive at my door then oh well I will continue to search and things will work out well for me. Although we can pretty much say that the majority of his deal has taken place it's just the follow through that has to be executed.

Thank you all for the kind words and advice we shall certainly see if I can put my money where my mouth is on purchasing a vehicle in my budget while it hopefully remains to be a reliable vehicle. Will continue to keep you all posted, update pics as they are available and share the joy that is soon To come.
