No more 3 pedal cars, unless they make a few more in the California T model.

But here are the last of them-

    430, 599, 612 and the Califorina.

With the huge amounts of electronics in the GTR, and since then pretty much all performance cars to keep up/beat it, we where pretty much done for anyhow.

I absolutely love analogue cars, and if you look at my top 8 garage, only 2 have flappy paddles (Challenge Stradale and 599 GTO), and I was not a fan of the flappy paddles but learned to live with the movement. Those seeking a properly engaging car, not masked my electronics are better of looking at older cars, and perhaps cleverly modify them to be quicker to keep up with the modern cars.

Shed some weight on a Ferrari 550 for example (-200kg is a very decent target), add in CCM3 brakes, modern tires and modify to 600+hp and suddenly you have a car that will keep sights of almost all supercars, minus the hypercars such as 918, LaF and p1.

This, plus, when you get to seven or eight gears, the old lever/pedal concept is more of a liability than anything. It was best when sports cars had four forward gears.

I suspect dual clutch will be the preferred technology until we see electric or fuel cells go mainstream, making the concept of a gearbox irrelevant.

I don't doubt, but I would love to see proof of the mythical 2/3 Manual 599 GTOs that a few well connected and almost always correct Fchatters swear were made....

Wasn't the 550 Maranello the last car offered exclusively with a manual transmission?

I believe Ferrari produced at least one 599 GTO with a manual transmission.
