If you are not opening the door to get out or get in, I understand. Also, it's been mentioned that euro cars have different immobilizers than US cars.

Dave- The only difference is the programming for whether the lights flash or the siren beeps. Other than that, they work the same way.

I'm sure many of us would prefer for our cars to react the same way. I don't know anything about Euro spec cars, but I've never heard of a US spec doing that.

Just for the fun of it, have you tried locking your car with a key to see if that sets the immobilizer?

    Hi,
I hope you can help, I tried the above procedure but it did not work. Is there something I have done wrong? The only thing different between the two remotes was the R2632 frequency resonator. The one I bought was R2622 which is 350mhz. But I swapped it with the R2632 which is the 433mhz. The car is Europe spec. I have copied the eeprom from the old to the new. Compared the two files and the look the same. Is it possible you can help? I only have one good black fob. Thanks in advance

    Hi,
Hope you can help, I have a good black fob and bought another from eBay but it was US model. The only difference was the resonator so I changed it to match the other R2632. Copied the eeprom and made sure both had the same checksum. Do I need to press it 150 times for it to sync? I am happy to pay for you service to help me. Thanks

Changing only the resonator is not enough to have a 350MHz remote working properly at 433MHz.

I've also tried swapping components and couldn't figure it out. There was a seller on Ebay UK a while back that told me he was selling Euro fobs to someone who was converting them to US and I figured it was Eric, but I didn't ask any more questions.

Someone in Australia figured out how to reprogram a garage door opener fob to work on their Ferrari, he sent me a bunch of pics, and I figured if that could be converted to 315mhz it could save everyone a bunch of money (but with kind of an ugly fob). I just didn't have time to dig too much into it.

By the way, if you're the guy in Dubai that contacted me through Ebay the Eric above is the guy I referred you to.

I've programmed a few fobs for people that were brand new, but had Porsche lettering on them. Same internals so they worked just like the real thing, but the Porsche lettering wasn't ideal.

With my experience from doing stickies on my car I've figured out how to refinish the Porsche fobs to look just like a new Ferrari fob. If anyone wants theirs refinished send me a PM. Pay me for postage and I'll swap you a new cover.

Gobble sent me 3 new remotes with a new pin code.
After his help the old pin was out and the new Pin installed
All 3 remotes ( 1 Red and 2 Black ) are working flawlessly.
Have no fear Gobble knows his stuff and I could not be happier
The easiest and cheapest way to have all 3 remotes for your car.
I believe it works on many Ferrari models
