    Apparently so.

And it may have even been involved in another accident after the first repair.

Very unlucky 'faith' for this F40.

Why does it look like the new 991RS rides too high? The side rockers and rear valence are near SUV height yet there is no space under the wheel arches. What gives?

Does not look right to me...something about the stance seems off?

Am I the only one that sees this?

    Tractor-size 21" rear wheel + 325 tires = higher ride height
And no, you aren't the only one who thinks it looks silly...

Indeed, it is clear the 21" rear wheels have compromised this RS' stance in terms of being planted & balanced as previous variants have been. But somehow it works...

just saw a white one in cannes and its the first 991 RS I see to date. I really like it, so much I would consider it over a Ferrari 458 Speciale in looks department.

No, the wheels are too big. Look how racers are still on 18s and 19s. Not sure I'm digging this huge wheel craze!

there's also blackout trim on the lower edge of the front and rear bumpers and rocker panels that make the car look like it has more ground clearance that it really does.

    Just the rears.

Look how beautifully-balanced the standard 991 GT3 is.

But I think, as with all innovative application, we will get used to it, and end up loving it.

    Very true.

Its an aesthetic effect that is even more prominent from the car's rear where the lower valance either side of the exhaust is unpainted black plastic trim. I can see people painting this, but that won't work.

painting it will look terrible! my guess is the blackout trim was used to reduce the "visual mass" of the car at the expense of a stance that appears to be slightly high.
