Agree, but my point was, that the scuds in these colors also have their buyers. And if, for an example, you are looking for a green scud, there are not many options out there, are they? So these cars aren't necessarily the cheapest ones :)

I agree, I was just making a joke. I'm glad folks out there buy Ferraris in colors other than red, and I think your car looks awesome!

The funny thing is, that I am one of those people, who are convinced, that a Ferrari should be red :D :D

At one point I even thought for wrapping my car in red :)

In the Porsche world, it is all about Mexico blue, signal orange and viper green. That baby blue will command $50k premium over other colors in a gt3rs. Red is great but alittle variety is also nice.

Thanks! I've been in the Porsche world the past 30 years and only had a couple older Ferraris. I was amazed after driving a Scud. I don't think there is another car that can provide the "fun" factor as a Scud within the price range. A Scud is undervalued IMHO, but time will tell.

Silver for driving, Yellow for looking. Which one will the HREs be going on again? ;)

Exactly. The 08 silver with the HREs for driving and the 09 yellow keeps the CS company in the garage.

Nooo! The copper color is what makes your car so cool!

Nice! I highly recommend that you buy two scuds, if you have the means. ;)

Chris Harris did a video recently with a GT3 (RS?) that was purple. I must say, I thought it looked amazing.

Thanks for all the kind words.
Yes, some amazing jelly beans color from Porsche. It is quite interesting about the color "acceptance" with different marque.

With Aston, it's basically various shades of silver and grey and, on occasion, British racing green.

How much of a "value" are buyers putting on a car with US Carbon Package (CF headlights, CF rear diffuser, CF front lip) over a very similar car which does not have the same carbon bits?

No idea, but is that what the carbon package is? Just those three CF parts? My car came with the package but I've never been clear on which CF parts were part of the package and which come with the car even without the package.

I believe it also includes the very inner interior kick plate. That's pretty much it.

I'll take a shot at it-
    08 U.S. Carbon package $5000
    09>08 $10,000
    Stripe $5000

I recently bought this 2011 997.2 GT3RS...my wife absolutely loves it...probably her favorite car in the garage due to its color. The color is called Meissen Blue, which is an historic Porsche racing color used on the 356, also the color from which Gulf Blue came. It is a PTS color and the only 997 GT3RS produced in this color.

When you see the car in person, it is spectacular!

I ordered our new 991 GT3RS in Miami Blue...at least my 16M is Rosso Scuderia.

I don't think the front bonnet was a factory option!

I agree that there is a premium for the '09 over the '08 but I have trouble understanding why. So a car that is 6 years old is $10,000 better than a car that is 7 years old assuming the same mileage/options/condition? If so, should an early production '09 car be worth less than a later production '09 car? This doesn't make sense to me. I can't help but think that the production year ('08 or '09) will lose its significance as these cars age.

Anyone have another opinion? Care to esplain me why this premium still exists?

Edit: I assure you that my views have nothing to do with the fact that my scud is an '08. :p
