I like my steaks on the Egg or in a CI skillet.

Or both. Sear in a CI skillet, finish it in the egg.

    Happy Filet Mignon Day, F-chatters!

For those of you in Kroger territory, you may want to have a look-see at the weekly steak special, strip steak for $5/lb. However, searching through the meat locker, more than a couple looked like to my untrained eye to be t-bones, and for a few the filet was large enough to almost qualify as a porterhouse!

OK, enough with cheap steaks - interesting article in USA Today on iconic steak houses. Wife forwarded it to me, and we had the same question - what, no Bern's in Tampa?!? Apart from that, it is an OK list. They had David Burke's Primehouse (Chicago), on their list, which is the best steakhouse I've been to apart from my own backyard, so they have some cred apart from the Bern's oversight.
