I was wondering if anyone knew what exhaust valve control options are available for the F12? I do not want to instal an aftermarket sports exhaust, but would like it to sound a bit louder below 2,500 rpm. I am either thinking a remote control valve control as seen on many 430s or just permanently wiring the valve open?

Im sure there are other options but check this out:

    Exhaust Bypass Valve Controller

And you could just keep it open- it will sound great- but there might be times you'd prefer to have it a bit more quiet. I'd probably start off with just keeping the valves open. Your dealer can do that or any competent mechanic who knows Ferraris.

The valve controllers work fine. I have a Capristo on my 458. My wife' F430 just runs valves open all the time. There is typically a slight low speed torque penalty due to the lessened back pressure but it is hardly noticeable if at all.

Just added the Capristo switch on my F 12 it definitely enhances the sound at low rpm's even at idle. It is nice to have the option of switching it to quiet mode with the remote at certain times as opposed to having the valves open all the time

Does installing one of these devices have any impact upon the factory wattanty?

I installed the capristo remote on my at the dealer prior to delivery on my f12 and was told it did not violate the warranty .. It may not hurt to have the dealer do it just to make sure ... makes a big difference..in sound at the flick of a button.

my dealer installed capristo's prior to me taking delivery of the car, and i have since swapped the cats for NR sport cats and the NR ECU upgrade. Warranty in tact...so far

Drop the panel down at the rear of the (just a few bolts and screws) unplug the vacume hose from exhaust valve, blank off the end of the hose and the valve outlet.
Job done (takes about 30 minutes to do)

This mod leaves valves open and gives a nice low down noise. No noticable drop in performance,
