Tom , I really did dig the video but the drummer's shirt reminded me of the Seinfeld episode about the puffy shirt. Lol Today's music is the Santana set from Woodstock. Shades of Time. Lovin it.
Funky! Just checked their two most popular songs on YouTube, Get Ready & I Just Want to Celebrate, & it always impresses me when you see a band in which the drummer is also doing the vocals. I can't chew gum and walk at the same time. T
So today I started out with Creed and finished up with...... Are you sitting down? Grand Funk Railroad.
Happily, I was sitting down! I'd be interested to know what you listened to in between. That's some stretch of musical genres. This has been my ear worm all day. Man, check them polyester suits out! Kirk, I think you said you graduated UF in late 70's. If so, this must have been on heavy rotation back in the day. http://youtu.be/T_LcZhmkg88 T
Just saw Chromeo, The Weeknd, The Chemical Brothers and a bunch of other artists this weekend! I left Florida mid 78. Maybe I should say I was escorted out ! That's another story. Let's just say I had the entrepreneurial spirit at school. I do remember that song but not the group. For us it was Boston , Jethro Tull , Kansas , Styx , Joe Walsh more of that genre.
I'm on Led Zepplin right now chilling at the beach. Mothership double album . Great old shizzle. I can't comment on the rap shizzle because I'm lacking in that category. Same issue with country shizzle too.
Honestly, I stopped listening to hip hop shortly after Tupac was killed, so I'm not up to speed with all things hip hop these days. I strictly listen to electronic music these days, mostly deep house, tech house, and techno. BUT, this album did bring back a lot of memories of The Chronic and 90's hip hop in general, particularly that West Coast, G Funk sound that Dre is so famous for. I didn't like all the tracks, but overall, I think it's a good album. I recommend.
All of this talk about the good Doctor's new album has me listening to some old school West Coast hip-hop. Thought this song was appropriate for this forum. About 3:30 in, Dre rolls up in what looks like a silver 360...T http://youtu.be/E5a93wABHNM
Guys, if you like electronic with a nice melody, give this Norwegian song/remix a try: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txnqnyjTyuU[/ame]
Incubus..haven't listening to them in 10 years, went to their concert a few days back. Man I feel old
Couldn't access that link, but found another by Astrid S. Not my usual style, but she's a good looking young lady. Interestingly, I thought Matoma remix was better than the original. Thanks for posting. Now for some old-school Norwegian electro-music! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djV11Xbc914 T
Wait until you start having conversations with friends like - Oh man, do you remember when Ozzy left Sabbath? T
