    Sorry Joe and all, you are right, I was confused about the subject, it's the 997 Turbo GenII that no longer has the Mezger.

    I'll try again, anyone know the Porsche's production numbers for the 991RS (or estimate)? I've searched but came up empty.

    Actually it would be interesting to compare RS production numbers for 996, 997.1, 997.2, and 991.

    Darn, I knew that I left Porsche Centre Oakville too early on Saturday. They hosted an air cooled event, but as shown below, there were some water-pumpers, too. I already posted the Blue 997.2 RS, but these two must have shown up after I took the 930 for a spin. Shame to miss sighting a 991 RS in Canada.

    Didn't miss the singer that was there, wow, that car was gorgeous.

    Ah yes I forgot about that site, thank you. So here is an UNCONFIRMED breakdown according to them.

    997.1 = 1909 (413 USA)
    997.2 = 2000 (543 USA)
    997 4.0 = 600 (135 USA)
    991 = ???

    What about 991 ... Anyone know? Is the 991RS done after only 1 year?

    Those numbers are close.

    4.0 RS production is pretty defined at 600 cars worldwide (plus 6 prototypes), but my notes say only 110 USA spec cars made it over here.

    As regards 991 cars, my factory source tells me they will make more cars than 997 production, and they'll be several variants of them too. Just looking at the rate of deliveries, that looks to be entirely possible. Personally, I don't think Porsche Ag have fully decided how many they will make yet (they'll clearly exceed their minimums) as they tend to react to demand.

    I'm surprised nobody has started a thread on this model, its certainly worthy, and that'll probably get you question answered too.

    Oh no, this is more than enough. Besides it ought to be someone who owns one or who has intentions of same, so they can also report real-world experiences of living with them.
