+1 we have a race with some actual uncertainty. Your thoughts on Mercedes are certain. If they dont have the worst start they should win. The track suits their strengths well. The funny thing to me is how little the press are referencing Williams. They have a fast car. I would think they should feel or be competitive.

So Mercedes are bringing a good deal of updates and Ferrari are reverting some of the latest updates to pre Barcellona. That can't be good.

I think I have picked the Mercs to be 1-2 on here for every race so far this season, with changes to the start, and rain in the forecast for race day, I think we may see a Ferrari driver on the top of the podium.

    Qualifying:
    rossberg
    hamilton
    vettel

    Race:
    Vettel
    Kimi
    Ricardo

Some "updates" work, some don't-let us not assume the MB updates will work as "advertised".

That said, can't see SF doing well here, IMHO as much as I would like to see Kimi take it it is a high hp track so we will see MB and Williams fight it out-but if it rains watch out for Seb.....

Rici in third? No way a Renault power will get anywhere near the podium.

Expect to see Kimi do well here - only track be beat alonso on last year - but I don't think he will qualify that well because he struggles with that.

    Qualy

    1 Lewis
    2 nico
    3 Vettel

    Race
    1 Lewis
    2 nico
    3 Kimi

I believe we will see a particularly high level of Mercedes dominance for qualifying as well as the race here. They will easily be flat through eu rouge, and I don't believe anyone else will have quite an easy time through there. That said, I believe their top speed will be on the low end. Mercedes' new rear wing is straight out of 2006 and now running the monkey seat they tested in Hungary. I believe this arrangement will favor Nico, but Lewis will be better with his clutch.

Kimi - has to survive the race start intact do to well. When he tries too hard, he ends up nicking bits of car and tire that hurt him.

His laptimes are some of the fastest though.

Kimi's bad luck seems to have continued with his car failing in Q2, I guess we can say at least it didn't happen during the race and they still have a chance to look at what happened and try to fix it before the race tomorrow.
