So last night was putting out the garbage. I have a really long driveway, toss the garbage and recycling bags in the back of my truck, drive it out. I left Sirius 70's on 7 on. Neighbor kids are putting their garbage. One says: "you listen to the real oldies" I just say yep and ask "what do they listen?" Girl in her early 20's says she likes classic punk. I'm thinking Sex Pistols, maybe some Ramones or The Clash. So I ask "like what?" She says Nirvana and Pearl Jam mainly. Felt real old, calling almost the next generations music classic!

This guy has been on repeat here for the past week. I don't know if it's because I'm really excited about my trip to Iceland for this year's Airwaves Festival, but I really really enjoyed his music. This entire performance on KEXP, recorded during last year's Airwaves, is highly recommended. And I get to see him there this year, too!

By the way, although I rarely venture here to the OT section, I would like to say that I have a blog about music called Talk About Listening, which you can find at the following link: Talk About Listening as well as on instagram @talkaboutlistening and Facebook. Doesn't make getting old any easier Tom. Now know how my Mom felt when I was a teenager and we all started listening to the Beetles and other 60's groups.
