He was never out of the top drivers club, but unless the rules are amended, merc have the car, whoever drives it, that will win both championships, it's that simple. I'm not sure anyone can really say with a straight face that qualy, in normal conditions, would go any other way than a merc one two. I wish it were different, but Ferrari aren't fighting the mercs on equal footings, they are doing it with both hands tied behind their back due to the dumbass rules.

Mercedes 1-2 on the grid, yet again.

Mercedes engines on the first 5 cars on the grid, and 7 Mercedes engines among the 8 fastest.

It's a complete Mercedes domination, reminding us of the pre-war era.

Beating Kimi is no feat worthy of top driver status. Alonso beat him in every race bar one last year. All his championships speak to drop driver status but not so sure of this year - he doing well but I'd like to see him against a capable team mate

If there was a fuss about it last year, it was only because of the god like accolades given to Lewis by his fans, and Nico winning the pole race somewhere put that to rest.

This year, as far as pole is concerned, Lewis is god indeed...at least compared to Nico.

I know, drives me mad, what is so entertaining about the actual races? Sure, we may get three proper overtakes in 70 laps, with the rest due to strategies being different, but I can't remember that being exciting before. Also, they are so obsessed with elton, sometimes it's as if no one else started the race, and they assume all Brits like him. I guarantee, lots of Brits do not, and lots think he's a donut

But I'm here Pete, don't panic! my two weeks was eventful, drove a mini-cannonball run with 16 Ferraris, where the top speed was very tidy, and bought a new merc for daily driving to replace the c63, barely had time to miss the place. Gotta say it's way quiet here since I got back though....

My luck seems to have held out today, went out to cut the grass at 7am, just finished, and the heavens opened! Hopefully the luck will transfer to Ferrari and Vettel will find his way through the field

 

That does make me feel better!
