    Wow!! What is that? Lol

I saw an ad for a watch made from wood, but I never looked it up.

It wasn't this one, but it did look very nice.

Thanks. Not sure of the brand but I got it at a site called watchismo, I think.

There is a brand of wood watches called Mistura that are very nice for casual wear. I lived upstairs from the founder of that company over 5 years go and it has really taken off. I got to know his family, mostly by complimenting a watch his wife was wearing while we were in an elevator. Haha that made me a part of the family. Latin American family who loved to eat and socialize.

The company has grown and is in lots of upscale stores now. I've lost touch but happy to see them succeed.

To be clear, the watch posted above is not a Mistura. But their website can be found at Mistura Timepieces - Handcrafted, original wooden watches

There seems to be a resurgence in small diameter light weight vintage watches. I love the simplicity myself.

Sent the DeepSea back to Rolex for service so I broke out my old Anonimo Militare manual wind for the interim. I figure someone around here should be wearing a real Italian watch that's actually hand made in Italy. :)

I remember watching the awesome looking commercials for that watch when it came out, enjoy it!

How long do they have it to service it?

My dealer here told me 3 months they would need it for to sevice it.

Might be a ploy to make me buy another Rolex so I always have a Rolex to wear when one is being serviced.

6 weeks or so. I'll post here when I get it back. But mine is from 2008 - it was the first run of DeepSeas - so it's time. The rotor was making a loudish noise when you spun it. My Tudor is out for service too.
