What's the pricing expected to be?

Any hint on whether this will be manual?

I think if they fix the red concepts "fish lips / splitter, lights," it could be very attractive.

Hmmm. I fear that price point is too high for the car to be adequately "stripped down" but who knows.

Problem is that if it is targeting the sport end of the market and not GT, it will need to keep up with cars like a GT3 which is about 2/3 of that base price. Doubt it will be able to with a stick shift and anything less than ~500hp.

I was hoping NA and stick but they will need to perform to a pretty high level if priced there and without the GT pull of the Cali...

Priced at $150k, 3 pedals, a 400hp NA engine and a sub 2900 lb weight and I'd be a buyer, even if the front end does look a bit like a friendly fish. Guess that is fantasy land.

This looks a lot like some of the Dino drawings/concepts that were circulating before the Cali came out. I like the 206/246 look but I'm thinking they are going to want it to look more like a mini 488

I like the front. Rest of it needs some work.

You're just about describing a manual trans 360 (even without a Stradale-type diet to use-up the leftover $$$ to that $150K), or even a F430 after a Scud-type diet, by the time such a Dino were to come out.

Any proof/rumors that it will be NA or it's just pure speculation and sweet dreaming?

Yes, I am. Though in fairness those are the dry weights of those cars (rarely seen in the wild).

Let me be more aggressive and suggest a more ambitious <2,500lb weight target, closer to the old concepts people threw around relating to the mille chili project.

I think ~400-450hp at that weight would result in great and useable performance (sub 3.9 0-60) and the price point would open up some additional markets. It would make the decision for me between a GT3 and one of these much more difficult.

I'm giving my own preference, of course...

Why can't they just make a 900-1000kg super light naturally aspirated v8 that sounds like an f1 car :(

Last time somebody made a 1000kg car it cost 1 Million price tag - Costs extreme money to go
extreme light. Even if you mass produce it doubt it will drop much less than 650K - just IMO

A V6 Alfa 4C would be great, possibly ideal, except that it would be lacking that 3rd pedal - which eliminates any interest for me.

What's a cs weigh? 1200? And even those can be stripped a bit yourself. Surely with new technology they can get 1100kg high hp per litre na v8 for under 300k. Maybe 900-1000 is pushing it.

CS curb weight is 1290Kg - If it's possible to do a modern car for what you wish then
Why doesn't any Manufacturer do it ?? just wondering :)

Top Gear magazine claim a Ferrari engineer told them at Frankfurt “We are thinking about 1000kg but of course we will not get there,” and Felisa may have said "There is probably a V6 in our future.” So would it be a smaller car? “You wouldn’t do a bigger one with a V6,” he smiles.

This looks more like the 488 which makes sense in supporting the 488-the Dino supposedly being a 'baby' version of their top V8 offering. I def like this more than the other new Dino renderings I've seen

Man I hope it has plastic belts!!
