Does anyone have any history on Series I GTE #3045? I've owned this car since last year but the history seems really murky before the 80s when it was restored. I would really like to know the original color combination.

Monterey was a good weekend for the GTE crowd, with a record number of cars attending the
GTE get together at Concourso Italiano. My pictures aren't that great but hopefully others will post on here. Also Gooding and Co had a really interesting couple of examples in their auction a Texas barn find and a beautifully restored Blue Sera car….they went for very high prices, hopefully burying the 'donor car' status for ever, but not putting off people from driving their cars.

This one is been spotted all over the place, but we cannot figure out which one it is! Keep your eyes open; I would certainly like to identify it.

We had a great turnout at Concorso Italiano with 22 GTEs in attendance. There was one more over at the Quail, but she was too busy to join us on Saturday. It was a lot of fun meeting Graham and all the other GTE owners, both with cars on site and without. David and I are already talking about doing it again in 2020, so get your GTEs ready!

This event was especially fun for me, as it marked the first time that 4247 GT had been on the road in almost 30 years. Zac Dugger worked unbelievable hours to get it done it time, but it was all worthwhile. The car looked beautiful, drove wonderfully (stopping was a different issue...) and being able to drive it across the podium, or Finish Line as some have said, was a real treat.

Has anyone posted a list of the GT/E serial numbers in attendance at the Concorso? Particularly, was 4959 there?

4959 GT registered for Concorso but was a no-show.

Thanks for the update, Tom. I looked back at the 2010 'rediscovery' of 4959 and found that the announced owner was Neil Glassmoyer. In 2010 he planned to enter Concorso but 'the interior wasn't finished'. He didn't make it in 2011 because of 'paint problems requiring stripping and a repaint'. Seems like 4959 continues to lead a star-crossed life, since it didn't make Concorso again in 2015. And the engine is in phony California '4959' in New York.

Glad I got to enjoy it for 15 years without drama and with all its major Maranello installed parts.

Regarding post #52, I went and saw my old (45 years this month) car today (2853). The motor has been rebuild as has many other items and it runs pretty good and stops on a dime.
Lots of fun. I went on my honeymoon in it and he went on his honeymoon in it.

...or a '62 GTE with '63 front and rear treatments (and a restamped '61 motor)! :)

    Hi,

I'm currently restoring car 4263. This car lacks it's original engine but has a 330 engine installed.

I see in the list a note that says "LSR250" . What does this mean?

Hi Charles - Glad to hear from you and to hear that 4263 GT is being restored. "LSR250" is the last license number we have on file for your car. If you would let us know the current plate, it will help us identify the car in photos.

I run the GTE Register, which tracks all GTEs and 330 Americas. Feel free to send me a Private message and we can share whatever history we each have on the car.

Shouldn't that copy read "last GTE made is STILL in existence SORT OF"
Looks smart and might be a great drive though, what's that thing behind the rear seats, ICE, Aircon ?
