Good article. While I fully accept responsibility and the risk associated with driving in an open cockpit, I can't imagine how hard it would be to lose one of your drivers, or your child, to a freak accident. Regarding Henry Surtees - do they run wheel tethers in F2 now?

Compare the number of deaths from head injuries to potential fire in modern cars. A canopy would be even faster to dispose of than the current cockpit horse collar.
