    Hello, I am trying to find out the build date and spec for a 1979 512 Berlinetta Boxer. Is there an online registry for the 512? The car I am looking for information on was shipped directly from Maranello to Cornes & Co Ltd Tokyo.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    DO you have the chassis number? A few further details such as colours might also be useful.

    The car is Rosso Corsa with Crema Daytona seats. Chassis number is 27019

    the car is also RHD.

    Originally Rosso Chiaro with black interior. I believe this car has been in the UK and New Zealand in the past.

    Jonathan, yes, you are right. The car spent 10 years in Japan before being exported to the UK. The last UK owner took the car to New Zealand.
    The car has crema Daytona seats. Why do you think the interior was black ?

    Simon Draper was the first UK owner,he bought the car in 1989.

    27019 had been manufactured very begining of 1979: January or February.
    Any chance to have pics of 27019?

    According to Nathan Beehl's book "Ferrari Berlinetta Boxer" of 2007, 27019 is a 1978 car, it is recorded there with registration plate OUF84W. The first 512 BB for 1979 would be 28631 which is 63 512 BB cars after 27019 without counting 3 BB/LM's in that range.
    However the page 'f-register' (from the list of Matthias Urban) does show 27019 as a 1979 car. Sorry if this is not adding clarity to the subject.
