There are always a few that want the instant gratification, but I believe this generally goes away after a few months as production continues

More photos of GT3RS on fire, Hope it is not the same issue as the GT3 cars.

    From the article:
New Porsche 991 GT3 RS Engine Catches Fire For The Second Time, Apparently this Porsche 991 GT3 RS had a engine change after 480km (300 miles) and the second engine ended with catching fire also.

Was at the 24 hours of Zolder this weekend and chatted to Porsche. Seems a recall is on the horizon to resolve the issue.

I just read the article on the 991 GT3RS from Exce11ence #231. Two points three points went beyond the usual "best 911 ever", "PDK is here to stay" barrage:

-- This RS has a more supple ride at low speeds than its GT3 sibling.

-- After it's cast, the crankshaft is melted again and allowed to cure a second time. Expensive, but the structural advantages are said to be worth it.

-- Porsche went through sixty development cars to perfect these two.

I'll never understand why these masterfully honed performance cars need to be offered on a limited basis.

Much nicer than the other one, which has already been compromised by stickers and a set of aftermarket wheels of subjective taste.
