Thanks man your point is valid and true. I, however, lack the passion shared by many of the forum members and, thus, I'm only in this forum for the real people behind the cars rather than the cars themselves. As to the way older cars are viewed, recall 50 years ago these "entry level" Ferraris were top notch and now that they're older they're not top notch! Well, humans have walked the earth for millions of years and, thus, 50 years is insignificant. To me, getting an old car and resetting my minds clock is as easy as 1,2,3. I thus don't believe in a year but a model.

-Example: If a 1965 Ferrari was the La Ferrari of it's time, I feel it is better than the brand new F12 Berlinetta.

All the previous is analogous to an F12 being an "entry level" Ferrari by 2055 assuming continued technological advancements. Worse than all of this, consumerism has reached the state where last year's iPhone 5s is now bad because the iPhone 6 is out!. Then why was the iPhone 5s "dreamy" last year!!!

Thanks for your reply Abdulaziz, it sounds like your quest is a sociological one. If I understood correctly (please let me know otherwise) - you seek to engage with various Ferrari owners to seek answers to questions about the anthropological aspects of the Ferrari ownership experience.

Well, in a nutshell let me break it down for you. It's very much a mirror of general society (albeit very skewed toward the upper socio-economic scale) You'll have x% of jerks, x% of awesome people, x% of people you never meet..and so forth.

My advice is buy/drive what you like and can *afford*, treat all others with basic respect...and don't worry about what other people think, do, say.

That's the answer to your automotive angst in my opinion.

    Be well.

its a word in the dictionary.

Why do others need to be sensitive to others?

This retard just wasted 5 min of my life (can I get that back?) with his retarded rant about how much money daddy gave him and then just rants and raves about other retards and doesn't even know he is too a retard.

I am kidding of course I know I will never get that 5 min back ever

Are you beginning to see why a see a car as a weapon rather than "with passion". Why an F430 is outdated. Is it all falling into place now?

Why is a 1980 Ferrari so great then and now it's "entry level"? Hmm.
Why is an iPhone 5s so great last year and not that good this year? Hmm.

I think they are both great, I'll take a 1965 Ferrari over at 488 anyday. My dad hates the iPhone 5s and adores his Samsung. as I said before, focus on what you like and what you can afford. Ignore everything else.

That's pretty much the answer to your misery.

I see a Ferrari; a chair; a sofa; a brick; a dishwasher; a pencil sharpner; a razer blade; a shaver; a hockey stick; a curtain; a gulf ball all in the same way as mere objects with cost & function and, thus, I don't care about what I can or cannot afford as long as my purpose is achieved.

so if you cannot afford an 'object', how can you achieve your purpose with *that* object?

Read my thread to see my purpose for the Ferrari object clearly because it's hard to retype and explain.

Abdulaziz, I apologize...but I did read your whole thread (both of them) and I wasn't quite clear.

Can you give a summary of what your purpose for a Ferrari object is again?

    Thanks in advance.

Skip the first thread unless you want a good laugh. Please read this thread only. My purpose is insane and, thus, unless properly explained it won't make sense nor be justified. I swear there's no concise way for it and I don't like making people "beg" me for sth. Plz trust me that the only way is to read the thread.

Abdulaziz, with all due respect, as I stated - I read both threads. I am still unclear on what your purpose is for a "Ferrari object"

can you re-state in the most simplest terms? I beg your pardon for my lack of understanding.

I shall in good faith state what my "purpose" is for a Ferrari.

    It is two fold:

    1) I enjoy the feeling I get driving it
    2) I like spending time driving and talking to other Ferrari owners.

That's my purpose for my Ferrari. Can you restate yours again?

Sorry, I greatly apologize as I have misread your statement of reading both threads as not reading them.

My purpose for the Ferrari object is to destroy the enemy (re****s & ****tards) in the maximum way the God allows through the previously explained passive sadism as well as active sadism (clearly explained earlier) once a definite enemy has been located. As in, if God allowed me to put ****tards in meat mincers and hear their bones crack, I would feel that my purpose has been completely achieved. If God allowed it, I have absolutely no problem doing so as long as no legal ramifications will follow.

    - please refer to the earlier posts for the two terms clear cut definition. (sorry for reusage again).

Disclaimer:- This purpose is most noble in my country and it is only one of my many purposes and my exclusive purpose for a car above 50K.

Thanks for your clarification, so your purpose is to destroy others.

Do you mean literally or figuratively?

If you mean literally, As in you seek a war machine

I would recommend starting with a used Hummer versus a Ferrari. That should be able to provide a better starting point for a battle environment. It is easier to mount armor and a 50 cal on a hummer then a 488.

If you mean figuratively, as in either racing or 'image'

    For racing
I would recommend a Radical SR8 - that is the cheapest option

    For image
Well, really only a La Ferrari FXX would be the definitive Ferrari creme da la creme...which you said you cannot afford...so in this case, I would recommend you focus on yourself and how to earn enough money to acquire one.

Does this sufficiently answer all your questions and challenges?

No again you are mistaken as I love life and that isn't me. My purpose is to harm ****tards and irritate re***s without harming them.

    Recall the definitions:

I have broken my word to dm_n_stuff et al & I feel bad about that as honor is what I abide by & I greatly apologize :(

Thanks Abdulaziz, for your continued discourse and clarifications. I assume english is not your first language, so no harm. I must say your English is infinitely better than my Arabic!

I understand now, your purpose is to emotionally (not physically harm) a segment of the population that you deem as ****tards & re***s. Well, I'm assuming from a social and racing aspect.

It's pretty easy from a racing aspect. You can always get a junky car and make it go pretty fast for relatively cheap...but I see this does nothing for the 'image' portion. But as you saw in my earlier question, if you cannot afford a car that has the most "image" and "social" bragging rights...then are we both not agreed that you would not be able to achieve your 'full purpose?"

So, as I said - you should focus on yourself and how to improve yourself to make enough money to afford a La Ferrari FXX. Save all your money now and in time and prudent investing, one day I have no doubt you will be able to afford one. Then you will be able to achieve your goal.

    Is this answer fair?

Valid statement but untrue. you see you're implying a Bugatti is the only way to achieve my maximum purpose. No my friend as the Enemy Destruction Curve (EDC) plateaus at the level of a 200'300K car depending on the brand & make as anything above that is not going to improve the effect. Thus, my purpose is very achievable. I, however, value learning investing more than a used 200-300K car @ the moment.

    Define Y axis as: 0-100%
Define X axis as: price of the vehicle + service (higher service costs makes the vehicle less affordable and will send the car more right on the EDC).

Analyze the EDC as you follow the black line left to right while I go through the explanation:

Starting at left, the cheapest car possible is graphed as a point and the price of the vehicle increases and increases & then then comes the first major tilt up (significant increased slope) is at 30K. The slope then increases and increases and the accending jump in the middle shows the most significant increase in the destruction of the enemy at the transition of the car value from 100K to 200K (maximum slope positive change), but notice that the destruction curve then plateaus. At the plateau even though the slope is at the lowest (not 0) there is statistically significant increase afterwards, but practically the effect of changing effective destruction from 95% to 100% (y-axis value) is practically insignificant though statistically significant:-

Well it depends on what your purpose is, if it is for long term top speed..yup it would be a Bugatti, if you plan to race on a track, I would say the Radical is a better choice. If it is just 1/4 mile I would go with the 918.

I hope this answer your questions. Now I recommend you leave FerrariChat and focus on visiting investment and self help forums so you can start your purpose! You have a hard road ahead of you, so wasting any additional time here will only impede your purpose. You will find open arms once you've acquired your Bugatti/SR8/918 and come back here to compare notes with other owners.

    Be well.

What questions? I didn't ask any questions. I was just answering yours. I'm not in Ferrari chat to "figure out my goals". I'm here to get people's opinion on my system of thinking & comments and just have fun. The only reason I talked about the enemy is because the questions led to these answers. If I were to be asked different questions you'd think I'm in Ferrari chat for a whole different reason.

I'd use an ACME brand rocket.

    0-100mph looks ~0.5 sec.

For greater portability and stealthiness, go with the skates instead.
