I had a 2009 from new until january 2015 and never had any issues. All the campaigns and updates were performed and so the car was basically the same as a 2012.

The key is to make sure that, regardless of the model year you look at, all the campaigns/recalls/updates were performed to bring it to the latest spec.

A lot had gearbox problems. If the gearbox was replaced under warranty and they extended the warranty from the time it was put in, it might be a bargain.

Had a 2010 - a step up from an SL but I wouldn't buy another. I suspect later models are a lot more fun to drive.

I had a 2010 and a 2012 and a week ago picked up my new 2016 T. I only sold the '10 because I had almost 30,000 miles on it after less then two years. The 10's had a few wiring issues, one with air bags, all fixed under warranty with my car. It and the '12 were near identical as far as fun and response. The new T is another car all together! So, I would check the history of any '10 you are looking at. From what I remember here on FChat the cars that had transmission troubles were few but once they had trannie trouble the troubles seemed to come back multiple times. Others here can tell me if my memory is faulty and am full of it. Those with no trannie trouble seemed to remain trouble free.

A 2010 Cali can do 0 - 140 - and stop in about 4,000 feet, pretty damn good, and can do 0 - 160+ in a mile, I know and have done those things a number of times :D. A set of brake pads though are $3,000 plus labor.

Are you talking about real mechanical issues or software issues re the gear box?
