So I'm 7 consecutive days of driving without it exploding. Pretty much I'm a Ferrari guru now. Oh and what's with the damn greasy dick beater hand prints that keep showing up every time I park somewhere. Mystery

Nah she's a beauty even in pictures and this is coming from a guy who normally doesn't like modified 308's. I really think the black wheels go well with the black bumpers and trim.

    Von,
You are absolutely right. That car needs to be put away so no one needs to see that again. Even in person that would make me vomit. ;)

    Just kidding
Great work and I like it with the black wheels as well

Wow stenciling on airbox looks like it really held up well, usually when you see the paint chipped away on the plenum the airbox lettering is also worn off.

Lettering is pretty solid on it, air box on the inside was a little chippy and rusty. Also intake rubber hose still has a nice solid yellow triangle imprint on it

Did an easy project today, replaced the sway bar bushings and clamps, it's pretty obvious that this thing lost a wheel at some point in its life, all scraped, anyway, pulled the old junk off, straigtened the studs, polished new stainless clamps, reinstalled

As always, I'm sure it's good for another 10 horse power

Latest trouble was the battery light flickering on and off, I pulled the alternator to have a look at the wires on the back, tightened the belt a little. Whamo, solid battery light on. While it was running I pulled the positive off the battery and it immediately died. Yanked the alternator again and figured it's dead. Today I went and had Napa test it, I didn't say what it's for but in a bit he came back and said its fine and that its putting out 80amps. I now see he ran the tester belt on the shaft since pulley wouldn't work, that means it spun faster. Is this a true test? Now I'm not sure where to look for a non charging situation, batt cable off alternator goes to back of starter, small wire is just the exciter right? And light?

I might add that I made this bolt for alternator to make it a one hand wrench job last time I had the car apart. Do yourself a favor and make one

All you need to know is how fast did they spin it. My guess is that it was only spun at 2000 revs or less so likely it's fine. How fast was engine turing when you removed pos terminal?

Ok well none of you guys helped me, I threw caution to the wind and risked my fortune on an alt rebuild, I went online and found a nice man to meet in an empty parking lot and.... Gave him my genuine Ferrari alternator to redo. Called me a week later and said its done, it's had multiple rebuilds. Had failed Chinese bearings, Chinese regulator that had failed. Now it's all fresh with German and Japanese stuff, fresh paint too. The price was $137 and puts out 102 amps
