I was out driving my 328 back from the gym. I saw a E30 BMW with its blinkers on by the side of I-101. I stopped, backed up, got out of the car. As I was walking back to the BMW, I saw an older lady as a passenger, and a middle age lady as the driver, both Caucasians. I walked up, the driver reached back, locked the door and mouthed the words "go away."

I shook my head, got back to my car, and peeled off. The few times I was stuck by the side of the road, I always appreciated someone stopping to lend a hand, even just a phone. Therefore, I always try to stop to help if possible.

Apparently, someone in a Ferrari stopping to help is considered a bum. Fooking beotch.

If you were driving a rolls royce and had bad teeth, they would have let you take them out for high tea. So the issue is cultural and ride recriminations. From Lion King - no worries, be happy.

SF Peninsula? The 101? Maybe they weren't ladies. Could have been two old queens in drag. And as to what they were doing on the side of the road....???

Probably this, or similar. Not everyone who pulls over has mechanical problems.

I owned BMWs, E30, E36 and E61. I would have been able to fix that car in 5 minutes. Eff it, no stopping next time for a BMW.

It's not an insult. It's meant to be humor but that doesn't always translate in the medium.

Naturally! - You can always trust the British! ;)

Whilst I was at My local petrol station on Sunday filling up My 348 TS, an elderly lady who must have been @ 70 if she were a day, came out of the station shop, saw My Ferrari and said:

"Oh - She's a beauty! What a lovely looking car! I bet she costs a bit to keep on the road?"

I replied: "She's not been too bad so far but she does tend to drink fuel like Oliver Reed at a free bar!"

"She's gorgeous! - You look after her and have fun!" she said with a big smile, and with that she wandered off on her way!

I couldn't help thinking: "Great! - My Ferrari finally attracts a female and she's old enough to be My Granny!" :D

Well just goes to prove that you can't control what other people think or do. You can however control how you respond. Keep being a good person. Don't let some sourpuss sour you too.

I think that it's great that a man in our country can overcome being a BMW driver so much that he is willing to stop and help others who are still afflicted! ;-)
