Last 458 Speciale produced

For whatever it's worth my dealer stated that I was able to take delivery of the last Speciale produced for Canada. Because my car was flown-in the Speicale was able to arrive before the shutdown in August. It was produced in August. There is one more Speicale coming into Canada but it was produced about a week before my car but will arrive sometime late September/ Early October. Kind-of-cool if it's true.

 

Good for you but it would mean absolutely nothing for me. I care about a nice exclusive spec , that "last produced" thing really adds no value as I see it.

According to the IPO prospectus the last Speciale will be produced "by October" and Speciale A "by November".

 

Considering Assemly Numbers, 135262 is about the last before the last 110 other made after Meaning it's not near the last Enzo at all.

 

Mr Bachman started collecting Ferrari models back in 1984. He calls collecting the last model built in the series a 'nice trend for his collection'. However not every Ferrari he has represents the final model built. For example he bought the last 512 BBi later on after it had been built and that Boxer is red not yellow. Now he is waiting for his yellow LaFerrari...

 

Question:

It might just be me, but why the hype about the last car produced? I tend to think the first is the interesting one.

Anyway, onward. Any updates from the OP regarding what the seller has to say about all of this?
