and mr. fox always watching the work :)
Lol, I haven't figured out how to load multiple pictures either, so don't feel to bad. Good luck with the restoration!
Would suggest soda or dry ice blasting to get the car clean, if any acid gets trapped insude the tubes it can be difficult to neutralise. Seen a few cars where the acid is still leaching out post restoration.
Gets acid dipped then neutralised,at that point I will take him home and carry out repairs with nice clean metal to work with. After he goes back for a quick re-dip and then primer dipped. Any acid reaction WILL be stopped.
Foot wells out, plenty of fibreglass crunching sounds but out in one piece. More concerned about the refit as all the chassis frame will be painted and looking lovely by then and it WILL get marked Image Unavailable, Please Login
Almost the same shot as my 308 taking all the glass out, agree there are some alarming sounds pulling it all loose. Image Unavailable, Please Login
A last look before he goes in to be striped, it's a 3 week process of acid, alkali and flushing to remove all paint, factory filler, 45 years of filler after leaving the factory, grease, grime, oil and lots of rust. All those poor repairs back in the 80's are going to show up so much when done. And all I have showed you so far is 3 weeks ago, I collect him tomorrow. Mr Fox will be reunited with 17535 and I'm very anxious to see the results I must say. Pictures soon ! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Went for soda blasting for my project as there was not a lot left to clean by the time all the damaged parts and bits not required were cut out. I am assuming you are doing a lot of this work yourself and farming out specialist jobs? Image Unavailable, Please Login
