    Hi Guys,

Apologies if this has already been asked but how do you connect an iphone (iphone 6) to the 458 spider. I know there are two cables in the dashboard however I cant seem to get in connected to play music. I can pair my iphone with the car to make phone calls but I want to play music from my phone and connect it the 458, even though it must be said the sound quality is shocking!

    Cheers,

    Merg

Great car that doesn't have Bluetooth for streaming. What a joke!

Yeah, I was disappointed when I found out that my '13 Italia didn't have Bluetooth music streaming.

There was a company that made a dongle that slipped onto the 30-pin old-style iPod connector and acted as a Bluetooth receiver, but I don't think they make it anymore. (Google "Viseeo Tune2Air" if you want to find a used one.) I had one, and I left it in the car as a gift to the next owner when, after two years of ownership, I traded in my 458 for a 650S... Which has Bluetooth, thankyouverymuch... :)

I also have a '15 Italia and it doesn't pare with my iPhone to stream music. There's a cable in the glove box that will plug into my phone and it still won't play music from it. So if I get lightning to 30 pin adapter, this will solve the problem?

If you have the iPhone connector in the glove compartment, get the visseo tune2Air as mentioned above. I have it in my 2013 458 Spider for over a year and works very good. It turns off music during phone calls.
The only hassle is when you turn off car and restart. After restart you need to turn Bluetooth on the phone off and then on so that Tune2air is priority connection.

Ok I'll see your question and raise you one more! My Speciale doesn't have a glove box or the ability to stream music via blue tooth... does it? I've only had the car a week and the 133 bhp per litre is doing it for me so haven't tried to connect yet. Same problem as 458 then I guess?

Nope. Streaming via Bluetooth is possible in the Speciale. Maybe it's because it has no glovebox...

Excellent news!! I've just been having a play around with the nav and radio. I managed to set my favourite locations and home location as well as my favourite music stations. While it wasn't apple intuitive I got there in the end. Did you receive a separate "infotainment manual" with your car? What is the basic procedure to stream Bluetooth please?
    Cheers :)

Sorry, no handout... Unfortunately the setup is not intuitive... But in the main menu on the right screen once you choose Media you should have the choice between USB and your phone - if you managed to connect via Bluetooth in the Phone menu.

Sorted :) thanks for your help! One final question... Is there a way to use the up/down buttons on the back of the steering wheel to navigate up and down within my presets rather than it 'scaning/tuning' to find the next avaliable station?

    Cheers
