painter reinstalled headlight and having trouble adjusting the travel of the pop up light.

When light down it aligns correctly. When light in up position, it travels too far and leaves a gap at the bottom between the light and the hood.

Does anyone know how to adjust the "stops" to make the light open and close to the correct positions ?

There is an adjustable "Stop" to align it, one for the down position and one for the up position.

Just watch out you don't get your hands in the way as the down movement is almost impossible to stop. I believe the adjustments are made from inside with the hood open.
