The gardener and house keeper took the cars for a joy ride while the owner was away is my guess. Watching the movie I'd say the gardener had never driven the Ferrari before and did not realize how little ground clearance they have. The ride height is not adjustable like a lawn mower. He looks to have also filled the Ferrari with 2-stroke fuel as evidenced by the smoke it was producing.

I just was watching the news in Los Angeles and they said the guy driving the yellow Ferrari does not Have DI. It was on the news at noon channel 9.

 

Ok if you know who the driver is ..... Name him or arrest him.

I am thinking if someone got one of the Escalade plates, and if they are CA plates .... and does identify the owner (US Gov't) the mystery should/could be solved.
The Escalades drove the speed limit and obeyed all the traffic laws, the G wagon with ME plates did not.
