The new FF is very likely a TT8, with less headroom in the rear, and the styling you crave.

Won't do anything but help a nice FF build in years to come.

The 612 tech doesn't stand the test of time. The FF tech has very little room to improve.

They are not comparable cars. If you think the FF is ugly and the 612 is pretty that's your call. I don't see it that way at all. The FF does everything right the 612 failed to do, including the visual statement.

Not an expert, but I have been doing my homework for a long time.

Actually the FF depreciation has been brutal .... not normal at all.

I am hoping that you're correct on the next model. 2+2 with a slant line in the rear and a TT8 is very likely. All good for the FF 12.

So after negotiating price, you get your local Ferrari dealer to throw in that TruCoat you want, because you'll be driving your Ferrari certified FF to Vermont this winter to go snow boarding; is there any negotiating on warranty coverage?

We're there. The's a very good looking FF on Manheim right now with 49,500 miles, silverstone over cuoio, asking $165k. I have little doubt they'd take $150k and run.

The cheapest FF in the UK is £140,000 with 20k mls and not a very endering spec. Half a dozen 2011s at around £145,000/150,000 and a few 2012s at 150 - 160k the price then jumps for 2103 models to £175,000/ 185,000 and upto £195,000/ 220,000 for 2014 with a couple of 2015s at £245,000 and £280,000

I think the difference in the US is a lot of cars are leased as opposed to purchased outright as in the UK and as such risk unsympathetic use or less than perfect provenance plus potentially very high mileage which has a detrimental effect on residuals. Ex lease cars here in the UK would always be left on the shelf in preference to owner driven and cherished options.

50% depreciation in 4 years seems about right for a production V12 non special version Ferrari and as there are so few to choose from in Europe plus with our economy picking up quite quickly the demand is growing to the point that dealers are advertising 'Wanted, your FF' The F12 seems to buck that trend as many were purchased and sit in garages just looking good.
Estate cars, Hatchbacks and Shooting Brakes have always been popular in Europe as have 4 wheel drive variants so the FF ticks so many boxes the consensus is they have bottomed at 50%, ok 45% for high milers with dodgy spec but they are very much in the minority.

Ferrari pegging output at 7000 cars a year with the California T and the 488 taking up 75% of current production, the growing economy creates a demand for used Ferraris including the 612 which has resurged recently in the UK and Europe with good spec late models at £125,000 (Meridien Modena) and tidy Scuderias at well over £200,000. Super Americas which 3 years ago were just over £100,000 are now well over £200,000. Rarerity plays it part but so will 7 years free servicing and 12 years full factory warranty.

Just reading the latest Ferrari market letter and there is a nice sounding FF (Black/tan 21,000 miles) asking $189k. I don't remember seeing an ad starting with a 1 before in the US.

There are a couple or three retail but seem to go quickly. Always a couple on manheim under $200k.

Loving it! What a machine! Exactly what I needed to replace the Scud in FL

Don't believe it. The mods to the FF next year will be power train, gearbox and front and rear plastic bits with minor dash mods. To change the roofline and tailgate would compromise the true design purpose which I was told is not happening.

There is a black 2012 FF with 17k miles with asking below $200k already... That's retail... Granted it is the wrong color though... I doubt you could get more than $180k trade in from a dealer for a 2012. That's pretty much 50% depreciation in 3 years. Brutal. Just shows that the demand is still weak, and new model is not even announced yet. Expect prices to drop another 15-20% by next year when the new model comes out. For the ones who remember that's much worse than what happened on the 612, 3 year old FF trade at the nominal price 4 year old 612 were then, and FF MSRP is 25% higher. FF are an amazing value at the current price points but there still have some to go.

The good news anyway is they seem to have found their floor for the moment anyway. Even that bottom car with 50k miles moved and quickly. At OTO prices, used FF's are finding homes.

I was just offered 172K for my 2012 with 6500 miles. 2 have gone through wholesale auction recently 172K and 177K. I decided to keep it despite the arrival of my SV.
