No, I am here and giving full tech support!!
While he did not purchase it direct, he was on the hunt before the car even left Texas!

It's also VERY fitting that it returned back to the Pacific NW, as this was a Ron Tonkin car when delivered new!
I was going to keep the license frame, as a momento...but Valeria said "No, it's part of the car's story, the journey...."

So, back on the road she goes!

I don't think he is even concerned with repaint, leaving the "survivor" patina...that might well win an award or two for him at a show...the original paint is viewable in the door jambs so matching it would be easily done...

    All good.

Yes, I cautioned him about the caliper lines, definately need them.

Someone probably set the E brake in transit, that is really the common issue with it, they are not frequently used, and then, once on, do not release properly.

I have tried to share all the 308 specific issues I can think of, when we chat on the phone.
    There's not many, are there???

    :D :D :D

    I wonder where #20405 is....???
    Anyone seen it??

I saw it yesterday. It's parked behind Driver's Source, partially under a tarp.

    Yes, I kept the yellow/Boxer trim #22127

    My childhood home was 127 22nd Avenue...LOL!

It also is in the best condition, having been smashed a few times, those panels bear no Factory rust...

Hmmm...not much change in it's situation, then.

It's waiting on a truck, to head north for NYC.

Well I haven't been able to update as it's just taken longer to get the 308 running. Mechanic has been very busy and uses the 308 for filler.

Yesterday finally got to drive it for about a mile, so excited now. Trying to upload a video but the files to large so need to adjust. Sent video to Big Tex and to the 2nd owner yesterday (this gentlemen is 89 and a great person still drives a M3).

    Completed so far:
    Tires new
Brakes: rotors replaced, new pads, calipers rebuilt flush and fluid

Ordered new lines but they messed them up and won't call me back, very frustrated with them.

Engine: carbs rebuilt (still need some adjustment on the jets) water pump, belts, hoses, tune up and other stuff I'm sure

New clutch, main seal, etc doing it right getting it all done while in there

    New fuel pump and regulator,

Interior: Seats with new hides that's it so far

Just ordered the retro air kit for AC next summer. Was hoping to be driving back in July but didn't work out. Good to wait to make sure it's right.

    Really excited now.
