Thanks... I will consider all serious offers. The car has a full pedigree, mind you it's only a two owner car. Still eligible for power warranty.

Hi Lino, if that post was directed at me I'm not a buyer, I'm a fellow owner. Just wishing you a quick sale. Hope she stays on the board :)

IMHO the custom paint work + out of the USA makes it a tougher sell. I suggest removing those items and I think you will find a quicker result or wait for the right buyer. The miles mean your price is probably about right/ a tad high if your car wasn't altered in its appearance. I don't think the exhaust hurts by itself but when you add in the other mods they all add up to issues. The good news is they seem fairly easy to overcome - except the mirror, that I wonder if you'd have to get a new side mirror.

There are no paint mods. The roof was wrapped- easily removable. As for the mirror, that is the only mod where I sent it out for paint, but again can easily be put back to original. I posted pictures of the car before and after. I figure the would be buyer can decide whether to keep the car as is or revert it back to original. As far as the secondary cat bypass, I have the original cats in a box so no biggie there... I don't see any issues :) . It's a great example, with solid history, all maintenance done, hassle free car... If anyone is serious, I am open to reasonable offers.

FYI, I've been shopping 599's and skipped over your ad once I saw the mods. I've had 200 cell cats on my Aston Martin and it made the car far too loud. I don't know on the 599, but the stock 599's I've driven were just right. The painted mirror was not appealing, nor the wrap. I just happen to think you will do better in selling it to return it back to stock, but that's just me. GLWS.

I posted pictures of the car before and after the mods. Everything done is reversible. Only the secondary cats were deleted, the primary cats are stock. I have the original secondary cats which are included with the sale. The sound on this car is just right, not overbearing. But hey, all these things are subjective and we have our tastes. I've had numerous compliments on the car as is.

    Thanks

Terrific looking car and very well priced, however, I would tend to agree with other posters that returning the car to stock would appeal to a much larger audience and likely result in a faster sale and probably a higher price. Reversing the mods is easy as has been pointed out, but many potential buyers probably don't want to deal with the hassle. As a recent 599 buyer, I passed over cars with mods even if they were easily changed. It wasn't a cost issue, but more of a time and hassle factor. I wanted a stock car ready to go on day one. No right or wrong answer here, just an opinion from a recent buyer.

    Just my 2Cents:

Car looks fantastic. Don't change a thing! If you come away with more than $185 in your pocket - consider it a win! Price is everything these days and very few are going to drop $200k on used vehicle. Especially, one that is across boarders.

I am in the same position. I think these cars are still headed slightly lower and heading into the winter months does not help.

If originally sold in Canada, yes.

so If the car came from canada originally the import tax is due now how about if it is a car originally sold in the usa then resold in canada would a buyer have to pay the import tax to bring it into the usa.. I see a lot of cars in canada and not really sure how it works..
by the way your car looks fantastic I have my eye on it..

I wish I knew more about import duty... I know that any car brought from the US into Canada is subject to a 6.1% duty tax on cars less than 15 years old .Cars exported into the US from Canada is subject to a 2.5% duty tax.

    Thanks,

    Lino

If a car was originally sold in the US then went to Canada. There is no import duty for the US. At least according to the customs website. That means your car can come back to the US without duty.

Too bad that this is still a little out of my budget; at least if I do the remodel that the wife wants. Great looking car and GLWS.
