Has anyone else noticed the 6k '01 550 thats currently listed on eBay, 22 bids as of this morning and currently at $176,500, is this for real? Is it truly possible that they have reached this perameter. If this is for real, time to start thinking about selling mine, nah I will wait till next year, who knows, it might be worth over $200,000

There's a similar car on ebay with an opening bid of $100K that hadn't attracted a bid last time I looked. Apparently everyone likes the first car. It will be interesting to see if the transaction is completed.

550s and 456s are lovely cars but made in + numbers. Worth every cent of a reasonable price. But + $176,000? its not gonna be my money.

2001s are rare and super low miles....next in line are gated 456s, a lot of car for the money right now.

The interior looks not very clean.

Perhaps the owner had looooong fingernails.
Left side of the drivers seat near the adjust buttons, ashtray cover, mirror button.

But i think, for some professionals no problem to fix.

The VIN of the other Ebay car at $100k is popping up as a 1995 456 GT with 7 owners. Seller needs to update the listing with the correct VIN.

A dealer just made an unsolicited offer to a client. $260 for a 2000 550 with 10k and an 89 TR with 14k.

To them that is current wholesale.

This was posted by Qksilver 5/1/2008 :

"These cars the last of their kind. Undeniably gorgeous classic lines. Modern luxuries. Old school feel. Nowadays, the old-school passion and classic driving characteristics are bettered by computer perfection; but that doesn't make them sub-par machines.

Daytona, Dino, 550... I think a lot of guys will be kicking themselves.

The Daytona was apparently never the greatest driving car.
Some said the Dino was never a real Ferrari... I don't agree, but that was the stigma.
The 550 doesn't have the edgy style of it's contemporaries. Doesn't mean it isn't knee-weakening.

In years to come, people will be lining up 550's next to vintage 12's of the old'n days calling them the at-the-time interpretation of the 250/275's. And they are the last ones."

    +1!!!!!!!

My car is MY 2000, higher mileage but perhaps better equipped and I wouldn't sell for $250k. Nope.

I guess my 61,000 kms behind the wheel have cost about €60k in appreciation.

    It was worth it.
