Pete - Anything I can bring down from Norcal? Bear in mind I have a small car and it's a long drive so don't go crazy.

How about some ice? That should last for the trip down. Seriously, I think we are good. We don't want to do anything weigh down the car and cause problems on the road. Maybe some chips or something light?

On the food front, I'm doing the Cuban Style Pulled Pork sandwiches, Do is bringing his famous Tri-Tip and Tim said he was down for some NY Style Sausages and Peppers. I'll supplement with some potato salad, Chips & Salsa, Veggie tray, ect. Coffee and Muffins in the morning.

I'll also start with some beer and sodas. We may have a local Italian wine merchant contribute some bottles as well. Armen was bringing something from Portos bakery and Kevin is down for some Gatorade.

It would be helpful if someone planning to come early (at the 10:30 start) could bring a few bags of ice. Otherwise, if you want to bring something, bring what you like and we will put it out. Beer, soda, chips, cookies, salads, etc.

If you are down for one of the Ricambi donated oil kits, please make sure that you bring your oil. Ricambi hats for the first 24 to show up!

Can anyone bring additional floor jacks and stands as well as additional tools?

    I'll send out address tomorrow.

Ha, not "quitting". As you know I just paid for an "oil change" that was REALLY freakin' expensive.

Kevin Upgraded (or downgraded - opinions vary) his ride so he no longer needs the 348/355 oil change kit. Tim is passing for reasons unknown

So only 3 of the 5 are oil change kits are spoken for.

If you want a Free Ferrari Purflux Oil Change kits (filter and washers) for your 348/355 courtesy of Daniel at Ricambi, please speak up now. First 2 responders to add their names to the list get them.

You need to be doing your oil change at the event or the filter will go to the next one down the list.

Let's call it "upsized". While I loved my F355, the interior was just too small for me. This became very apparent on our jaunt to Monterey. It was very sad to turn over the keys but the "batmobile" is doing a great job relieving the pain.

To all that are coming Saturday, I forgot to mention that we have room to park 12 - 15 cars toward the end of the in the alley subject to which of the neighbors have their cars out. My garage is at the very end of the alley. pull as close in as reasonable and stack the cars. those planning to do work will need to move them around as necessary.

If you park further up in the alley, please make sure that you are not directly across from one of my neighbor's garage doors or they will not be able to get in an out. For those of you arriving late, you will have to park farther up and walk down.

I have not heard from anyone about bringing a floor jack or additional jack stands. I have one jack and two stands so it would be helpful if we have a few more on hand. I have some oil drain pans, funnels and containers for the old oil and can take it out to Pep Boys at the end of the event.

The weather is looking like its going to be around 95+. We have some shade in the alley but I still expect it to be hot. If you are looking for something to bring, I suggest your favorite beverages - Beer, soda, etc. and maybe a bag or two of ice. I have several coolers and will have water, sodas, etc.

We have always done a little ferrari fixing with eating, drinking, and telling lies and half truths.

On the technical end we have messed with any maner of ferrari problem solved in a day. Fluid changes have been a popular event activity. Consider annual to biannual coolant and brake fluid changes. Frequent changes make for easy changes. For example if you always keep your coolant nice you can change without draining the block. If the coolant is nasty then you really need a complete flush = more work. Many will bleed brakes regularly but not bleed clutches. So think about your last maintenance on that. Some are doing the stooge trackday less than a month away. Prep the car saturday or flush the brakes. And don't forget the gearbox and powersteering on the 355s. How old are your sparkplugs? Brake pad changes are easy too. Rotor changes are possible but need few more tools and less beer drinking.

    Don:

I'll be home from about 2:30 on. I'm in Santa Clarita in the morning until around 12:00 - 12:30 if you want to meet on the way and save some driving.

I have all of the pork roast braised and ready for the Pureco Ropa Vieja!

Noon is a good time for the tri tip to arrive.

    Peter,

If you're up here today have a few sets of jack stands available to pick up.
