I suspect condition / miles / options dominate model year. The pricing equation previously used (http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/141250542-post566.html) was created when '09s were under warranty but many of the '08s were not. Pricing data from this summer at least suggests the 08s and 09s have converged. Worth noting '08s also have a WCC plaque (for '07 where the Scuderia won the WDC and WCC) and the later ones have the US carbon pack as standard.

In Switzerland the market at the end of the summer has been "flooded" by many high mileage SCUD's appearing at 200K+ which are not selling. It seems the secret of a high price, is a low mileage as well as the right colour

I think this makes sense as, assuming a 2008 car has the full carbon package, the differences between the cars are not significant.

I am still toying with the idea of getting a scud and selling the 360, but with red cars still priced quite high ($230k+) and I don't want a low mile car, I am thinking about keeping the 360 and getting a lightly used Aston Rapide S for the same total cash outlay. Of course while the 360 and Scud are depreciated out/appreciating, the Aston will continue to sink another $50k-$70k depending on how much discount on a used one there is. Still, with a four month old and plans to have another kid reasonably soon it's getting tougher to find time for my coupes and depreciation is better than parked cars
Not sure if I see the parallel here...what I'm saying and have continued to see is that if there are 2 equal mileage, condition and color Scuderias, one being an 08 and the other an 09, the 09 will always fetch the higher price tag, typically a 10-15k extra. The list above has shown only that varying colors with varying mileage are asking for varying prices. It doesn't show a convergence between 09 and 08 of a similar mileage, color and condition.
Right. And how often do we see two similar Scud's (color, mileage, configuration, condition etc.) only with different production dates offered in the same currency region? Never! IMO too theoretically this kind of discussion.

It's good that I got my car in 2012. I think, that's the time where the prices where at the lowest point. My scud is a dream car. I don't think I could afford it now if I had to get one. Especially I have other cars that I have bought. It's all UP from now on.

Yes, but not as much when the "newer" car is 6 year old while the "older" car is only 7 years old. I think there is still some premium for '09s, but I believe prices will converge as the one year age difference becomes a smaller and smaller percentage of the age of the car.
I respectfully disagree that Asking prices are not data points Actual Sales are the valued data points and I know of only one 16M that has reported sold in the last 1.5 years
At today's rate, and accounting for what most will regard as super-duper-high-mileage, I would say $165-180k depending on the condition of the rest of the car. 2 black ones belonging to friends sold less than a month ago. One had 7ish k miles (san-stripe), went for $195K, and the other had 18k miles (silver stripes) sold for $180k (it had fading carbon and sticky interior trim).
