I've just passed 1500 but I do drive every day (and park at the station) so get to have some fun. Just got the winter tyres and wheels for later in the year.

Seems we have quite a few UK FF owners on here, anyone fancy an FF meet one day?

Agreed, a great idea. Would be good to put names to faces and see all the various colours and specs in one place.

I'm in the South East of England.

Any room for a fellow owner? I'm seriously considering an FF although it's my wife and not me that needs convincing!

Yet to take mine on a track to push the speed. Very impressive though!

Definitely up for a meet too.

Cruised at 175 for over 40 miles in southern Germany in the early hours en route to Saltzberg. Very intoxicating. Fantastic car with no competition even from Ferrari.

203 at Bruntingthorpe Proving ground last year at VMAX. The only safe place in the UK to go for that kind of speed.

Just saw one for sale 2012 with 49k miles @ $165k. Never owned a F-car yet and want to make it my DD. Should I spring for it?

I have a very good friend in the Washington DC area who has 74,000 miles on his 2013 FF. He has MANY other Ferrari's but this is his "daily driver" and he absolutely loves the car which inspired me to get my FF.
I don't drive as much as he does, but I did take my FF to the first Ferrari US Cavalcade in San Francisco this past August and had a blast driving it along side LaFerrari's a 288GTO and other special Ferrari's.
I was also able to drive in on Sonoma Raceway which was a hoot. Though not a "track car" it held its own very well next to other Ferrari's. :)

That's RickLerderman first FF in Columbus? Get the Power warranty for 6500. Should be a great car, they like to be driven.

As always, there's the Autobahn in Germany. Some parts are de-restricted. Go to the European section and ask around. Do your research as you need to know what you're doing. It's not like all of it is unlimited. Also, as with the written rules of the Autobahn, the unwritten rules of the Autobahn are many. You might be thinking you're doing well cruising along at 200 kph overtaking the guy doing 170, that is, until someone who was way back in your mirror, will flash his lights and be in your arse in seconds doing 300. One needs to be very awake on those roads, you just don't go there and mash the pedal the first few times. European/German driving styles and laws are very different from those in the US, and way more aggressive.

Great post regarding Autobahn! I was passenger in 997 GT2 RS, pumping 336 km/h on one of unrestricted Autobahn sections :)

When you are on Autobahn, main rule is that you must convince yourself your supercar is potentially very slow car on that left lane you want to enter while overtaking someone in front of you.

Germany legally, my particular favorite stretch is a four lane autobahn towards Frankfurt.
Italy Northern south of Milan and North of Genoa (illegal but the police are Ferrari friendly)

The E451 from Darmstadt to Frankfurt past the airport, just after airport time to slow down.

Sorry about reviving an earlier thread. Any issues with your friend's FF? Any major overhaul needed?
