This is a pretty crappy picture. But there are 6 screws left. 3 on each side. Two of them are in the picture just north of the headlight. The other is in the trunk compartment at the front. I don't have a picture of that.

The you pull the rubber strip off from all the way around, and the carpet will lift out. Be careful as the bits at the front which fold into the luggage compartment seem to be a bit flimsy.

I tried the washer fluid squirt and off course that doesn't work. I can hear the motor running but nothing comes out the jets. I will leave that for another day.

Related note, I saw that on the passenger arm the washer jet was disconnected from the arm. I was trying to figure out how it fits together. I would have expected a raised circle on the arm to fit into the hole in the jet arm, but didn't see one. If somebody wouldn't mind posting a pic of how theirs fits together that would be great.

On sunday I had a couple of hours before I had to drive my kids back to the city, so thought I would try and fix my turn signal stalk. The problem is that when you indicate left the stalk doesn't stay down, you have to hold it with your finger. Also if sounds likes it's shorting somewhere because the speed of the turn signal on the left seems slightly faster than the right. Lastly when you turn the lights on, the left signal doesn't work at all.

The first step is to pull the horn fuse out. This fuse is in the luggage compartment fuse box. I don't have a picture of that.

The horn button just unclips from the steering wheel. I read somewhere to try and unclip it evenly otherwise it may bend. Mine came off fine.

There are six hex screws holding the steering wheel to its base. Before undoing these you should disconnect the horn wiring. There are two wires coming up from the shaft that need to be released. You should do this before undoing the 6 screws. Ask me how I know !

No that's as it should be - only three fuses fitted and one left empty.

The empty fuse holder only has a fuse fitted temporarily when the ABS system is being tested for repair/servicing reasons.

As for the lack of washer fluid when you use the wash wipe: How old is the washer fluid?

If you don't use the wash/wipe ever and the fluid gets old, it can start to congeal into a gel-like substance that causes blockages, stopping the washer fluid from flowing (My car had this exact problem when it went for it's annual MOT test. It's quite common on cars such as Ferraris that only tend to get driven when the weather doesn't require the wash/wipe to be used - The washer fluid can sit in the car for years on end).

Hi Phil - thanks for the info on the fuse.

I suspect you are right about the washer. At first, there was about half inch of fluid in there, but after filling the tank half way, if still didn't work. The good news is that I can hear the motor, which rules out electrical, and hopefully motor. So I suspect it's a block in the line.

It's not top of my list right now to fix, but is on there !

Here is a pic of the switch assembly. First good news is the plastic ring which "clicks" the turn signal off when you've turned you corner doesn't appear to be broken. Second good news is that it looks like (and is in fact true) the turn signal stalke comes apart separately from the other stalks.

There are four screws to take the stalk Out.

My washer bottle was full and the fluid looked to be in good condition but we found that it had been congealing in the pipes.

As with your car, My pump was trying to work but it just couldn't push fluid past the blockage.

The bottle and pipes were drained and cleaned out, with air blown down the pipes when disconnected and then it was all reconnected and filled with fresh washer fluid, but even with everything cleaned out, it wasn't exactly the strongest of jets hitting the windscreen. The mechanic said the pump might be slightly weak due to age, but added that even with a new pump fitted it the washer jets wouldn't be that much stronger.

As I never use the wash/wipe it isn't that important to Me - It just needs to be good enough to get through the annual MOT test.

The answer to your question on the passenger washer jet is that sadly, it is broken (don't ask me how I know). The plastic nozzle snaps over the arm and I can see in the picture that you are missing the lower little ridge that fits around the flat portion of the arm. They are in the Ricambi catalogue for the low low price of $42.00 . Tip, Super Glue is your friend. :)

Hi. Thanks for the replies. At some point I will get the washer thing working. I suspect it's probably congealed as you say. I notices on Superperformance they sell the hose for a few pounds per meter, so maybe the answer is new hose.

On the washer jet, i'm wondering if I can take the jet of the broken wiper I just took off. I'm not with the car at the mo, so I can't see.
